Chisora would have been a good test in 2014. It's 2020 he's old worn out and irrelevant. Just my opinion of course

Sells tickets so hardly irrelevant if we are breaking it down

I like what I have seen from Joyce, the man is rock solid with a nice jab. Those two attributes combined is a rough night for anyway to face. Can I also say that he has some of the best trunks in the game today? A+ for originality.

My take on this fight is that it will be a good one, and Usyk will know he has moved up to HW. Much more so than fending off Chisors in the early rounds, joyce will land that jab some, and Usyk's face will show damage.

    BUT

There is a reason why Usyk has no problem getting in the ring with him. With a massive payday, and potnetially a shot at the undisputed title in the next fight, Usyk doesn't seem too bothered by this challenge. Perhaps it is false confidence due to the victory from 2013. But I like Usyk to take a UD and move on. I really hope to see more of Joyce beyond this fight however, and do think he can pick up a strap eventually, just not against Usyk.

I love Joe Joyce and I love Oleksandr Usyk, so I have no desire to see either of them take an L. Therefore I don't really want to see this match again. But if it happens, yes Joe has improved, Joe will probably do a lot better early on, possibly win the first three or four rounds on activity. However once again Usyk will get his timing down, and beat him down for the last eight or nine rounds of the fight and win a lopsided decision or via late stoppage. This is one of those matches where speed truly will make the difference. Joe is not as slow as everybody thinks he is, but Usyk is faster than most people think it is. Hopefully the loss doesn't affect Joyce that much, and since he's headstrong I doubt it will. Losing to Usyk at this point is like losing the Mayweather. It is what it is and nobody holds it against you.

There are no great fighters in today`s heavyweight division, I feel Joyce would have a great chance against any heavyweight in today`s game if he keeps improving.

I agree although idk how much more Joyce could improve at this point. I think he's a live dog against anyone also

I actually think this is a bad match up for Joyce. But, there's not enough of Usyk at HW to really measure him.

    Couple of points here:

    1) I think Usyk wins this rather easily. You are talking about one of the quickest heavyweights against a plodder.

    2) I like both guys, so let the better man win. Everyone knows that I want to see Usyk fulfill his destiny, but Joe is a good guy and a good addition to the division, so if he has found something that will allow him to do better and get that WBO interim belt, then good luck to him and I'll be happy for him. Similar to how I feel about Fury-Joshua.

Congrats to both buys on having the guts to make a fun, intriguing fight.

Joyce gets slept on. He’s obviously the underdog but with the right game plan and his preparation in camp, he’s a very live dog.

I could see Usyk winning, but I don't see him handing out very many beatings at heavyweight

He’s a guy who fought at 200 without being drained. The fact that he packed on 25lbs at his age doesn’t make him a true HW. He should have been a cruiser and should still be one but the money is too alluring at HW and he’s only got a few years to go before he hangs it up. At his current size he’s giving up a lot at HW to the big guys. He had a tuneup to get acclimated to the weight and had an injury which delayed his progress. Chisora is the guy many people said would beat him, they are saying the same things about Joyce. He’s been trying to get fights with Fury and AJ, as unified Cruiserweight champ, he deserves a shot. Same as Crawford did when he moved to welter. Instead of seeking fights with the biggest names as Usyk is doing, Crawford took an easy belt from Horn and has been carefully avoiding Spence, Porter and all of the biggest names in the division. And this is his natural weight.

If you are saying Usyk is a natural HW, you really don’t know anything about boxing. He’s technically at the minimum weight but I don’t think many HWs can easily make 200 without being drained, at least not the top guys holding the belts.

Usyk didn't look comfortable against a past it Chisora, I believe he'll beat Joyce in a close fight but it's IMO highly unlikely he'll have an easy night.

although they're a similar age, Joyce slightly the older of the two, [peak] Usyk's reliance on speed, combined with his late career weight gain, mean he's likely aged much worse than Joyce.

I make it a pretty close fight.

Yep guys like Loma and Usyk are one of very few who actually fight at or above their weight class. Canelo, Spence, Crawford and the like have built their career on being weight bully cherrypickers. And the delusional fanbase who slate Usyk and Loma for actually challenging themselves needs to just die. It's an absolute joke that people can't see this.. But then majority of people are morons so no surprises there
