He was one of the most feared fighters of his Era and yet he is almost always forgotten.

McAvoy ,when in his prime was basically a super middle /light heavy.Sometimes that worked for him and sometimes it didn't

Spinks arguably deserved to win the lineal 160 title.

Trying to think of anyone not mentioned. How about a couple of Europeans Charles Humez and Tiberio Mitri

NoNeck, you might be right about that, but in the end, he didn't get the win and he went right back to his natural weight. He really never contended at the weight. Just a one-off title fight. No substance at 160. I also disallowed Azumah Nelson for the same reason at lightweight.

On a different direction, I've never seen the Taylor-Spinks fight. Is it worth seeing?

In this division I was hoping to hear from @PhillyPhan69 who is an encyclopedia on Philly middleweights.

Which reminds me, Billy Petrolle, the Fargo Express was born in Pennsylvania and lived in Minnesota. Just to keep the record straight that that scene may not be so far-fetched. LOL!

Thanks, dude. After watching Tyrone Trice v Kevin Pompey this morning, Spinks-Taylor would probably be liking swallowing a bottle of downers.
