    I was literally thinking the same , Plant has barely been touched and look at him - he’s got no chance against Canelo.

    Canelo probably beats this guy but he’s winning every round so far. Plant beats Smith and all of Canelo’s recent opponents. He has skills but doesn’t have power. I’d like to see him increase his activity but he has good movement and balance. Traux is on the downward slide but he probably beats Rocky Fielding easily. Super middleweight isn’t a very good class.

    You are looking at sryle....I am looking at attitude, speed, power and strength AND style...yes Plant likes angles but that is his only stylistic advantage and even then Canelos footwork is at least equal if not better.

    I am looking at this fight against a fighter that is slow, washed up, average power and average defense....and then I look at Plants lack of killer instinct and unwillingness to move in and push the fight to set it up

    Nobody is suggesting that he beats Canelo with any degree of seriousness, though, are they? :dunno

    He loses to Canelo, BJS, Jacobs, and Bandera Roja for sure. 50-50 with Mundo, Ryder, and elder statesman Brähmer (and I'll throw in Shishkin, though less proven... and possibly Berlanga). I'd favor him over Fielding, Rosado, the Dirrell bros, etc - and Oozecat in a rematch if his form last time out against Thomson is any indication.
