They have big stadiums there and surely they could still do PPV and sell about 30k there. Total guess on the figure but I thought he was big there and a stadium fight would sell for pure novelty if they’re anything like the UK public.
I can make 20 pounds go an awful long way, I can also make it disappear very quickly by being too lazy to cook or ordering an Eddie Special. At least when you order food you feel momentarily satisfied.
Good to know. Comes down to whether you want to spend your money or not. As long as I've been watching boxing, I've been paying for PPV's. Just personal preference.
It would be more than 5000 and also PPV shouldn't have too much of an effect as the time difference is quite suitable tbh for you UK viewers (not that the fight should be PPV).
It’s a good fight because Parker doesn’t have the power to flat out KO Chisora but has the skill to outbox him, so it’ll be a battle between how he keeps Chisora at bay to how often Chisora can land. I’d lean towards Parker winning a competitive decision.
This will 100% be on Sky PPV. It's a decent fight, a good fight actually which I would strongly back Parker to win. No way is it genuinely PPV worthy of course, there's nothing at stake here, and Del Boy is just taking another likely loss in exchange for another big pay check.
Price gets slaughtered for being on PPVs. Chisora was battered off a kid Fury over a year before Price had ever lost. He’s still getting PPV money after being beaten badly numerous times but people love him and say it’s fine.
Haha where’s Jurgen? Fair enough. It’s a rip off though mate, if you already pay a subscription for Sky. Fights like this mean nothing and the fighters are getting weighed in for the simple fact they’re pally with greedy promoters. If this is PPV then what is not?? Especially as the good domestic shows Hearn used to put on around 2012/13/14 are extremely few and far between now. His whole thing is now PPVs, Nxtgen or women’s stuff. £20 does have it’s value and this type of fight is way below that in my opinion.
I don't mind the PPV's so much as Hearn generally puts on fairly good cards - in my opinion. I'm looking forward to Avanesyan-Kelly, that's a neat little domestic card with Johnny Fisher, Davies Jr and Marku-Charlton. Specifically regarding Chisora-Parker's worth on PPV, as I said in my original comment, I'd buy it with a good undercard line-up.
It's up to you what you do with your cash, and if you vote with your money to sustain the pay-per-view model as it currently is, then that's your choice. Pay-per-views, not so long ago, were reserved for special bouts (often with title fights on the undercard), but it just goes to show that people are happy to put up even more money than their considerable subscription fee for a "fairly good card". As long as that continues, Earn's laughing. Needless to say, I've been a member of various angling clubs since the dawn of broadband.
Haye is using Del Boy here. As a pull out machine and a once a year fighter he is literally feeding Dereks ego with all the war stuff and trying to do anything he can to get him PPV dates. Parker is a decent fighter. My issue is Del Boy isn’t PPV worthy.
