Agreed, should have been a no contest as neither man did enough to even deserve a draw. Maybe the worst heavyweight fight for a title I've ever seen. Bryan and Steverne last week was the thrilla in Manila in comparison
Fury ended the boring Klitschko era by beating him at his own game Be thankful for Fury's genius. Without Fury the heavyweight division would look very different right now, full of bums holding belts hostage.
A couple of my posts from the original RBR. Jeez this fight sucked. It wasn't close or competitive though
Wide my ***. It was close both on the scorecards and actually in terms of punch thrown/landed in reality. I don`t get why people are giving Fury rounds for doing nothing, and just clowning around. It was the same in the first fight with Wilder, where he ate jabs, do nothing and people giving him this rounds, simply cause he was clowning around .... You ain`t winning rounds for doing nothing and just feinting ...
It's second place for Worst All Time. First is Wlad vs Ruslan Chagaev. Coma inducing. Wlad should get some credit for being in to All Time rated HW bouts.
Jesus H Christ on a bike! You actually paid money to travel over and watch that yawnfest travesty of a title fight live!!! I walked 100 yards and watched it on tv at my brothers house and felt so completely robbed by the farce that I considered suing both fighters for the wasted shoe leather.
Like it has been said , its a poor fight to rewatch , but it was very exciting to watch live.. You didn't know what was going to happen
Klitschko completely lost his ability to pull the trigger in that fight, until round 12, which was either desperation or Fury tiring. Regardless, it was a close fight but there is no question, Fury won. A prime Klit, I'm sad to say, would have probably won.
Fury averaged 7 landed punches per round. Wlad averaged 4 landed punches per round. Fury had a 3 landed punches per round advantage over Wlad. Some people consider that a genius master class schooling....some don't.
