Is there something of Dempsey in Andy Ruiz (Joshua version)?

The impetuous way Ruiz outclassed Joshua in the first fight makes me remind Dempsey when he suddenly moved his attacks and then dropped his opponents (like Firpo for example who before being KOed threw him out of the ring). Can you find similarities between Dempsey and Ruiz (Joshua version) or not?

Outclassed though? Outgunned yes but we saw the gap in class in the rematch

When I think of Dempsey, that ton of blubber that is that fat boy is the furtherest thing from my mind. What's next does his physique remind you of Ken Norton?

Both fighters became champions by destroying their opponents despite the size difference and the odds not favoring them.
Both could bang, have good stamina, very good chin with good handspeed....And that's about it....

Dempsey had better legs, damn better. Cool leg work if compare with Ruiz.
Good clinch, old times game too.
Ruiz: very fast hands, good counter puncher, willing to fight, leg lazy with predictable movement in the ring.
Both are cool, btw Dempsey really had damn good talent for this one.

I agree, for me outclass = thorough domination primarily through boxing
So, I don't call winning by KO1 outclassing even though it clearly shows who performed better

Fury v wilder 1 - fury performed better in my (and many others) opinion, but I wouldn't say he outclassed him
The 2nd fight he DID outclass him because Fury was in control from beginning to end

The only comparison I see is they both beat taller fighters. Dempsey had better dedication, conditioning and mindset. It’s a shame but Andy’s toughest opponent will always be his gluttony.
