If Tyson Fury keeps winning he will be ranked by his fans as the GOAT Heavyweight (top 10 ATG Heavyweight by everyone else), but he will not be P4P because he is a Heavyweight

To understand what P4P means think of
    • Ricardo Lopez
    • Manny Pacquiao
    • Naoya Inoue
Scale them up to Tyson Fury size/weight, the scaled-up versions will easily destroy all Heavyweights...

Pound for pound is a load of absolute nonsense.

There's the heavyweight champion, then there's the rest.

I agree, no one should care. They're just silly fan made lists.

If they were scaled to Tyson Fury size, they lose a lot of what made them good in the transition. A 200+ pound Ricardo Lopez isn't the same as lighter weight Ricardo Lopez, just heavier.

Same way a 147 pound Pac isn't the same as a 126 pound pac.

Peak Nonito was a phenom, as was Pongsaklek. In fact all of those fellas seem pretty damn good.

It depends on what happens between now and then, but if not much happened then he would likely rate inside the top-5. I like Fury, he's the Heavyweight Champion, but wins over Wilder and Joshua, no matter how spectacular, are not particularly interesting.

Jesus, aren't we jumping the gun. I am a Fury fan, but if you haven't noticed, Joshua is pretty good.

Why wouldn’t he? If you beat the current p4p king then you become the p4p king.

The hypothetical scaling up means exact scaling until they reach the size of Tyson Fury (weight) since its a P4P, in this hypothetical -fantasy- Pacman-Ricardo Lopez will have the same neurons-muscular intensity, so it will not just be adding muscle and height, even neurons will be scaled up in number-quality.

Commonsense, bulking or natural larger sized humans don't have the same neuron-muscular structure, in general the size offsets that & there is no evolutionary purpose to have a 6'10" Ricardo Lopez, just like there is no evolutionary-demand for a 1 foot tall praying mantis or a 300lbs honey badger.

So Heavyweights can't be in a P4P list, unless Pacman or Inoue move to Heavyweight & for them to have success in heavyweight they have to come in at their fastest weight -without bulking-, this is the only scenario where a Heavyweight can be a P4P King, defeats the purpose, but its very similar to allowing someone with a trait you like move into your home to help you have a child with that trait....in this case its speed and the proven Elite-Boxing-CNS you see in Ricardo Lopez, Naoya Inoue & Manny Pacquiao...which is a physical trait that allowed them to be "P4P"...not the result of hard-work or training like Floyd loves to say

That is what Pound for Pound literally means...

You don't bring a Heavyweight to a pound for pound nomination ceremony...

Fs you know he doesn’t have a glass jaw. Go watch the Klitschko fight and it’s obvious he can take a punch. Idiotic statements like this are far too common.

He’s probably gonna end up losing to AJ. He simply just doesn’t have the motivation or mental strength to put the full work in when he’s at the top of the sport. He loves a cherrypick and isn’t consistent whatsoever. Add that in with AJ being a hard style matchup for him then you have Fury being TKO’d late in the fight.
