LOL if prime Riddick Bowe was around today Joshua would be checking under his bed to make sure big daddy bowe isnt there to destroy him

Riddick Bowe is better than Ruiz on the inside and wont be as easy to outbox because of Bowes height of 6'5 and his reach of 81 inches. He also had a good heavy handed jab and sometimes used it to get close to his opponents and decimate them.
    ALL WRONG

I could not think of a worse stylistical nightmare for Aj.

AJ wins for me. Bowe would be beat up by AJ and stopped late.

AJ's weakness is against small stocky fighters which Bowe is not.

I think AJ can exploit Bowe's defensive holes and hurt him, I will go as far as saying AJ would be able to bully Bowe if he chose to fight that sort of fight.

Yeah Joshua does struggle with short fighters but Bowe is better than Aj on the inside like Ruiz was and Bowe would force him on the backfoot. And because bowe is a big heavyweight with decent boxing skills, he'd be harder to outbox than Ruiz.

The only version of Aj that stands a chance in my eyes against Bowe would be the one that fought Pulev. On the backpedel throwing jabs but used quick counters and clinched almost every time him and pulev were in the pocket

Honestly, I think a prime Bowe would cause AJ all sorts of problems.

A prime Lewis would end AJ's career.

Deceptive thread. When you talk about "prime" Riddick Bowe, you are talking about a guy who only existed on November 13, 1992.

Look, I have said it a thousand times--Bowe was protected from punchers. The only decent...not great, but decent punchers he faced, Holyfield, Golata, and Hide, gave him all kinds of hell.

Joshua is harder hitting than any of those guys, and would have got to him and laid him out in a way we never saw.

Bowe had a very short window where for me, he was a ****ing monster.

I do not see AJ beating a 91-92 version of Riddick Bowe, no way.

His prime literally lasted 1 fight. Every other fight he was either out of shape or unmotivated. That can be said about Andy Ruiz tbh. That’s why he’s probably the hardest HW to rate historically because he’s often overrated based off 1 elite performance.

I totally agree I’m just saying we’re guilty of overrating him based on the one fight he came in at his absolute best.

Joshua would go back to the Olympia if Bowe was around today. Duck him like he did with Deontay, who was offering him lots of gold and riches, before fatso dismantled him.

A fair point. Bowe could have been so much more if he was motivated and committed but he wasn't.

The key thing for me is whether Bowe can take Joshua's power. If he can, Bowe probably wins by late TKO.

I'd favour Bowe... But then I'm again I'm not sure... Bowes best win was against Holyfield, which he outweighed by 30lbs

Wilder didn't just duck AJ, he pretty much denied his entire existence for a while up until Ruiz humbled AJ, then Wilder couldn't keep AJ's name out of his mouth but, only to run him down with cheap shots.
