Two guys, who hit like trees falling on you. In a slugfest like this, I'm going with Foreman by late stoppage. He may have to get off the floor to do it, though.
It's a slugfest , thats for sure ... You can flip a coin in this one .. A true 50-50 fight ... Liston threw the straighter punches and foreman a tich more power
ya no worries .. as I am not that computer savy .. but had a lot of stuff , not backed up, then the software became corrupt .. so i lost everything ,, then started up againn but couldnt get my old account here or anything back, so started new one , then my laptop took a **** so i got a new one and then this site finally gave me my old account back ... it was a big mess ... anyway , im here ... hope all is well with you and healthy
Appreciate it brother. My uncle whom I was very close to especially as a child, recently passed away from COVID. Kind of a wake up call for me. Hope you and your loved ones are safe.
Considering this is coming from someone who thinks Lewis was merely "good", but not "great" let alone an ATG, I'll take that as a compliment!
C level Williams is only talked up by Liston worshipers like yourself.......in the grand scheme of things he was a nobody in the Boxing world, a guy who is known for his losses because of his glass chin aka when he even remotely stepped up he got laid out except once against a rather non descript run of the mill fighter..... Both Foreman and Sonny faced Clay /Ali.........while both lost Foreman looked much better and did not quit or roll around on the floor while facing a past prime Ali vs Liston who faced a totally unproven green Clay This will come down to heart and Foreman will beat Liston in that department all day long........Foreman is was and always will be a winner in life despite coming from a shid back ground and has mental fortitude Liston could only dream about.
I guess it’s a 50-50. Liston is the better all round fighter. George can only win if he doesn’t get tired. Liston when he was on that 17 fight streak between getting out of prison in 1958 to 1960 was a better fighter than George Foreman ever was. He had everything. Either side of that spell George probably knocks Sonny flat. Career for Career it’s big George. Sonny only had a two year hot spot. Gun to my head, If I can pick Sonny from 59-60..I would pick Liston.
Correct, IMO Williams fits the definition of a can........so he threw a couple punches back at Liston while getting starched ? Erratic fighters like Berbick/Ruddock/Witherspoon/Morrison/Smith/Bruno etc etc at least put SOME quality wins on the ledger and ko'ed legitmate Heavies with a pulse ......how anybody can talk up Williams is alien to me.
