Not a great deal far off prime. I'd say his win over Ruiz was probably his top win in honesty. When did Ruiz get kod like that afterwards?

The win over Moorer was so predictable, he was getting knocked down and lookin shaky as soon as he moved up. Holyfield dropped him first fight, smashed him to the floor second fight and of course big old George splattered him.
If Moorer had actually gone to the second round against Tua I'd have been gob smacked!

Idk he’s got some good wins against Oquendo, Ruiz, etc. Those were two excellent contenders at the time. And he like Lyle had good losing efforts against others.
I don’t think he beats the likes of Tyson or the others but it’s def not a good matchup for him.

It was a green Tua beating a green Ruiz, granted in an impressive manner.

He was probably at least a year off his prime.

Interesting fight .. Lyle was a huge puncher and could box a bit for sure .. that said Lennox was better than Lyle in every way and he didn't stop Tua or even badly stun him so I can't see Lyle stopping him early .. my guess is that the Tua that fought Ike catches Lyle and finishes him off .. the later , crater and less motivated Tua who often seemed to be lulled to sleep might lose a decision ...

Probably about that. In retrospect his best win imo. What he did to Ruiz was noteworthy, wasn't it only David Haye that stopped him after that? And that was years later.

I don’t know for sure who wins but I think Tua’s chin could survive Lyle

Tua has the chin to survive Lyles shots.........you trouble Tua with movement and a steady jab, Lyle likes to fight fire with fire eventually and fades quickly....similar outcome like Oleg M or Izon.....Lyle gets stopped late

Let's just put it like this: The President couldn't make Tua shell up and David went toe to toe and exchanged bombs the whole night long. I rate Ike as better than Lyle:

The flip side is that Tua after that fight was done, he got fat, unmotivated and that fight pretty much ended his career as a top contender.........loosing to Lewis is no shame but getting shut out Byrd is embarrassing .......so something clicked in Tuas head after the Ike loss, and no , it was not a good click.
