You're replying to the wrong person. I never claimed "everybody" was on roids. Charles Burley was the one making the claim but of course has yet to back it up.
No we don't know for sure but some giveaways are pretty obvious. Shannon Briggs looking like Mr Olympia, Golota's spots all over his back, Morrison admitting he juiced, Holyfield getting caught ordering EVERYTHING. And none of those guys ever got caught on a test. Those are just the obvious ones. As for not believing it would help. Seriously? Everyone knows it helps As for principles, are you really trying to tell me Mike Tyson had any? He strikes me as having elements of pyschopathy in his personality. I don't see him taking an ethical standing here. Going back to George Foreman, isn't it likely the man considered to be possibly the strongest ever heavyweight used steroids? I think it is. Also his muscularity was greater in his comeback.
No Foreman was a freak of nature blessed with good genes and a robust bone structure. He was nearly 6'4 and 230 lbs as a 19 year old amateur with hardly any fat. He actually cut weight and dehydrated himself to get down to the 220 range for speed and stamina. Foreman did not lift weights in his first career and only did old school basic strength training like push ups, medicine ball, heavy bag, pushing a wheel barrow, digging holes, etc. When he came back in the 80's he turned his old man fat into stocky sumo like strength by doing strong man training like chopping trees, pulling cars, shadow boxing with dumbbells, and using weight machines to develop his forearms, back, and biceps. Anyways, it doesn't really matter either way since you have no evidence and even if you did, we know for a fact Toney popped dirty as well so if both are cheating how does that change the thread? Toney still has to deal with a guy several times stronger and much bigger.
If you think Toney speaks poorly now, basically mumbling, if he would fought Foreman in 95 (or anytime), Toney would only be able to "hum" his words.
Hmm....So, Toney never fought either Of the Klitschko Brothers. He just called them out forever with the moniker “The B***h-Co-Sisters.” James vs either of them wouldn’t have been pretty for him I’m afraid, mainly based on there massive size advantages. As far as this matchup, the enormity of Foreman has to be taken in to account, Toney’s style of laying on the ropes and counter punching might be suicide against Foreman’s winging bombs. No shame to Toney though we’re after all talking about a former Middleweight vs one of the heaviest punchers in boxing history. Toney would without a doubt take the fight through, dude had stones, I love the guy!!
Toney won the first fight. 90% of observers knew it and dso did sam Peter. Toney lost the rematch because he had just run past where his odometer would allow and he no longer could prepare just by sparring and lifting weights. Btw, have you even seen the Rahman fights? Interested in how you think he lost when the first fight was a draw and largely considered a poor decision, and the second fight Rahman quit on his stool like a bittch and was able to escape with a no contest on a technicality He also never fought either klitchko. I'm wondering if you've ever seen any of Toneys fights at this point
my mistake i was thinking of peter when i wrote that he lost to both klitschkos. Yes I've seen Toney's fights lol I have several posts where I go into great detail breaking down some his fights and style that would be impossible without seeing them.
hard to believe you've seen him fight Peter or Rahman if you can't recall he didn't lose to Rahman or confuse sam Peter with not one but two klitchkos
Anyone with two eyes could see it. His training methodology was always going to lead him off a cliff eventually and he seemed to age physically between peter 1 and 2. Drastically I might add
Don't really give a **** what you believe lol. Toney is one of my favorite fighters to watch. Literally IN THIS THREAD I broke down his fight with Holyfield and how Toney was able to get through his guard consistently. I can tell you exactly what happened in the first Peter vs Toney fight off the top of my head: Peter was banging away with his jab, while Toney attempted to roll with shots and time him. Toney used some slick head movement to dodge punches early but didn't do it as much in the later rounds. Toney got backed up into the ropes but Peter couldn't land a lot of power shots cleanly. At one point he got frustrated and bashed Toney with both hands at once and got a serious warning from the ref. Peter couldn't really land too many flush bombs but he was winning some rounds on aggression and volume. I don't think Toney did quite enough to win and the scorecards showed that. Wasn't busy enough. I didn't say I confused samuel peter with the Klitschkos, I said I was thinking of Peter when I wrote that since he lost to both Klitschkos when I wrote that. It was a brain fart.
Disagree. He kept getting tagged by the jab too much and wasn't moving his head enough. Peter was winning rounds on aggression and volume.
