Wouldn't surprise me, especially if Frampton beats Herring. Frampton could go out with a big payday and Warrington gets the opportunity to become a 2 weight world champion.
He's 30, a featherweight, doesn't have a punch, has just taken a right shellacking and almost totally relies on out-working and out-lasting his opponent. Can't see a route back for him, tbh
Adam Booth is spot on, he saw the first round punch that really hurt Warrington and said he would have stopped it when he WALKED OUT FOR THE FIFTH. Booth saw his gait, Warrington wasn't right, maybe his corner were thinking ahead to those big fights and not thinking about his future.
Lara has a standard set juevos de Chilango. He's not fast or tricky or smooth. He was just able to aguantar for a couple of rounds and then after he had the measure of his man, did his work. He wasn't gonna' let it go to the cards. Warrington got found out. I'm listening to the commentary after the fight and the team is talking about Lara fading into obscurity. Lol.They're still kissing Warrinton's ass.
His style was made for a young hard punching Naverrete/Munguia style fighter who is more than happy to ship a shot or 2 to land one of his own. Poor match making. Warrington isn't overrated or aged overnight. He's played nicey nice touching gloves and being all personable and humble instead of coming in hungry and sharp. He wasn't where he should be in regards to mindset for that fight for whatever reason. He just had to box, double the jab up, pick his shots and grind a 12 round decision out of it. Instead he's played right into that kids hands by getting into a gun fight with a lad who can punch harder and take a shot better. Hope Warrington comes again.
Is Lara better than Frampton ? No is Lara better than Selby? No Is Lara better than Kiko Martinez? No Is Lara better than Galahad? No Definitely was something wrong with Warrington, you don't suddenly become a **** fighter overnight you tool. He didn't look himself from the first bell.
