Josh Warrington's career is now in ruins. He may never get back on track. I have seen some on here make out as if he's just another over hyped fighter Hearn has poached from Warren.

No Warrington has proved himself before. I explain who he should have fought, why this was terrible match making and go over other examples of Matchroom doing this in the video.

    EDIT:

Here is unbeaten feather weight Tommy Ward's thoughts on it all just been talking to him. Also talk about the MTK documentary done by BBC.

EDIT: I'm done replying to people on here now. Navarate spars this Lara kid and says he's hardest hitter he's ever faced. This was Warrington's warm up fight.

If you want me get me on YouTube but no trolling in comments or disliking.

Warrington proved himself before. Yes. But on a low level compared to the elite. Who has he beaten? Lee Selby who is just above domestic level and a really poor fighter in general. A shot Carl Frampton. And Kid Galahad who was never really world class anyway. All these fights were close or razor close.

Warrington is a good fighter and a hell of a warrior but this is a poor division with an inactive GRJ on top. It tells you pretty much everything you need to know if a guy like Jazza Dickens is a Top 10 fighter in the division. Featherweight is a super poor division in general and Warrington proved himself as a Top 5 fighter in the division but nevertheless he can be beaten by anyone in the Top 30 most likely. I'd pick guys like Nyambayar or Villa over Warrington. I'd even give some other upcoming prospects a good shot. Warrington spent the majority of his career with beating up low level guys and i remember that he was a huge underdog against Lee Selby and everyone said "Selby gonna pick him apart, Warrington is crap" and such stuff...and then he beat three solid names in close fights and he's the unbeatable FW king? Naah.

You can not blame Matchromm for this. Warrington fought like a stupid clown. He thought he'd go in there bombing the Mexican out of the ring inside 4 rounds. Well, that didn't work obviously. He went to war with a very heavy handed and durable opponent who is also limited as **** skill-wise. If you lose to such guys it's not bad matchmaking at all, it's bad fight iq mixed with stupidity, a really, really bad corner and obviously some insane overconfidence.

Well, he beat them clearly but these fights were still close to a certain point. Not even close to a shutout or something. 8-4 for Warrington in both fights on my cards. Warrington overwhelmed them with output. Nevertheless Warrington is limited.

All of those guys are elite and Frampton is not shot. He was just put up against an unknown quantity after some of the biggest fights in Britain in recent years. How is he supposed to get motivated for that?

Mauricio Lara will have been training like this was the fight of his life. He's been active, he's young hungry and has momentum on his side. Warrington is coming off a layoff and didn't have much to gain if anything from a win here.

This was supposed to be a tune up to get the rust off. Why not have him fight a British fighter like Tommy Ward who we have seen before, gets the British audience interested and gives a local fighter an opportunity.

I go over a few other examples of terrible match making and handling of fighters in the video.

Lee Selby was never an elite fighter. He was one of the worst champs i can remember of. He beat NOBODY. He's probably the worst champ boxing has seen over the last 10 years. His "title reign" was a total joke.

Frampton was indeed elite level in his prime. But he isn't elite anymore. He's shot and Herring will beat his ass later this month but i guess the Brits will rob Herring anyway.

I can tell you why they didn't gave Warrington another british bum. Because he already beat like 20 of them. If you want to be ready for world level you have to beat some dangerous guys in tune up fights. Warrington never really proved himself outside the UK and now he got a dangerous Mexican style fighter with good power and he failed miserably. There is a huge gap between the domestic level in the UK and the domestic level in the US/Mexiko. These unknown Mexicans with weird looking records would beat up 90% of the British hype jobs all night long and twice on Saturday.

Funny because he moved up and beat Burns who's a 3 weight champion, beat Gradovich who was s champion too. He's never been out classed by anyone at world level even at lightweight.

If Warrington is limited like you say isn't it Eddie Hearn's job to match make him properly? Not chuck him in with a hungry Mexican unknown quantity in what's supposed to be a warm up fight.

Seems his career was going a lot better when he was with Warren.

Anyone wants to discuss with me further comment on YouTube video coz I have notifications on that I don't on this.

I can't recall a fighter suffering a worse Matchroom stitch-up as Warrington. He signs with Hearn, is immediately persuaded to drop his belt, fights a dangerous and active Mexican and loses in a beatdown which was allowed to take place because Foster - perhaps the worst Matchroom shill ref on the roster - wouldn't stop the fight in the 4th, which he would have done if Lara was hurt as badly as Josh.

One fight in to his new deal, he's lost his title, his '0' and probably what's left of his career after the sustained beating he suffered meaning he's lost most of his future earning potential too...

Aye good points there actually mate. If Warrington was at 100% I think he could have beat Lara. Even if it was stopped after 4 I would have fancied him in a rematch. I wouldn't fancy him now mind certainly not in an immediate rematch.

Another fighter I mentioned was Kell Brook we all know what happened to him.

Look at Joseph Parker he's signed up with Matchroom and Hearn's just been leaving him to gather cobwebs he could have fought Joyce and Dunois among others if he was a free agent but Hearn with rather tie him up and leave him to rot so Fish Eyes and other rival promoters can't put good fights on!

Come on man. Burns is 37 years old. Burns was a good fighter 7 or 8 years ago. But he was outclassed almost everytime he stepped it up on world level. And they also dragged a 37yo Burns down to 135 to fight Selby. Burns fought at 140 before. Burns isn't anything special these days. If you rate this as a good win you must be really really desperate to hype up british boxing.

Well, look, your talk is the best example why boxing is such a joke and mess these days.

If Warrington is limited, you have to match him with total scrubs and bums to make him look good or what do you want to tell us?

Of course Warrington is still a Top 5 FW in the world and you think Mauricio ****ing Lara who fought against cab drivers and pizza delivery guys in Mexican gyms was bad matchmaking by Matchroom? Come on....

Yup and Kell was never the same again. And I don't see a way back for Warrington after that sustained beating. Even if we put to one side the possible physical damage, how can he possibly fight the way he used to - high-volume pressure fighting - if he is hesitant to stand in the eye of the storm? And I can't see him adapting his style because he always traded on physical advantages not talent. Think his career is cooked....

Aye because he's just had his career ruined by wrong fight at wrong time. That Lara may yet turn out to be a quality champion and Warrington just fought him after a 16 month lay off under the impression it was a tune up!
