Loma currently has no 'leverage' to make other big names in 135 to fight him. He has no titles at the moment. If Tank Davis does not want to fight him when he got titles, I doubt he wants to fight him now. Haney wants Teo now, so does Garcia.

This is the right path for every champions who lost his throne and in his way to climb up again.

Btw, I like this fight. Nakatani is underrated and surprisingly strong.

I dont know man. Thats a dangerous fight for loma. That dude is huge and loma is a tiny guy at 135. Bad mistake to sign that fight. Loma gonna have to borderline run the entire fight. I dont know if loma has enough pop to keepnakatani off of him

    So why run?
Plus Loma always has been a pressure fighter.

    The obvious
So he doesnt go nighty night.
Its a bad fight for a natural 126 small 130.

You think the right course of action here would be to keep distance and potshot?

Lopez can crack and he got Loma good. And Loma took it.
Nakatani can also crack, but he isn't some monsterous puncher.

Loma needs to stick to his strenghts here.

Avoiding that fight and going after some bigger paydays like garcia or davis or moving down a weight would be the right move

Loma definitely is too small for 135 lbs.

    Yeah.

Yeah. He will have reach advantage vs Loma and will do all the best to use this one. Definitely he and his team will study Campbell vs Loma fight and lurk for solutions how to keep Loma at bay.

Lopez was not capable to get Nakatani down, nor also Loma.

Despite Loma is much higher level fighter than Nakatani, Nakatani is undervalued.

For Loma at 135 not easy might be even fight vs Campbell II or vs Linares II. Nakatani too, of course.

Lomachenko will be at a greater size disadvantage with Nakatani than with Lopez and Nakatani looked pretty good against Lopez.

This is no tune up. If Lomachenko wins that should definitely get him the rematch.

Is the fight to make. Commey wants to fight him too but that one does nothing for him. If he can upstage Lopez here it would be a major statement.

This is BS. Loma is still the biggest name at LW, top two at the worst. The guys you name are avoiding him because they know he’s still one of the toughest guys at the weight even though he’s technically fighting a class or two above his natural weight. Tank is a paper champ milking his fame and fighting bums. Teo is taking the easy route with his mando and appears to be more interested in 140 than defending against top LWs, and Haney is still building his name.

Losing a close fight to Teo doest erase everything that Loma has accomplished at 135. He’s the biggest money fight available for Teo and I’m hoping fans pressure him into a rematch. As a boxing fan we should demand these fights.

Hmm, interesting fight I guess, but what's the future at 135lbs? Lopez is ducking the rematch and I think this Kombozo fight is his last at 135 before his body needs 140lbs.

Really want to see Loma back at his real weight class of 130lbs. Herring literally needs an opponent right now that Frampton broke his hand!
You can make fights against Berchelt and Shakur after that! Makes too much sense.

Does looks like this. Ofc there might be another options to talk about but then looks at least till middle of summer nothing will happen.
I imagine months long talks to attempt negotiate fights alone, not to talk about paperwork and real fight to happen.
