Something stinks about this whole thing. We are now also hearing again about this “arbitration” situation with Wilder which has been going on for months and I don’t like how Shelly Finkel and co are so quiet about it. It also wouldn’t surprise me, if Usyk is stalling on signing for the Joyce fight to see how this plays out. I hope I am wrong, but this whole thing isn’t adding up.
It’s ok everyone, according to Fury it’s not about belts (or money) so I’m guessing he’ll give up his WBC belt to fight Joshua.
Part of me hopes the fight doesn't happen, don't know why, it's been talked about so much it feels like they've overdid the hype. Not getting excited until the fight is signed. The sad thing is that the casuals think the fight is 100% taking place.
Yeah no worries Bob,only the biggest fight in world boxing, doubt anyone will ask me for any updates on the fight when they speak to me....
I know what you mean it is aggravating but at the same time, without the casual fan base boxing would be in dire straits, like it or not they come out the woodwork and pump big dough into the sport, and as big boxing fans our intelligence is insulted with s**t commentary & scorecards on a regular basis like sat, and the sport is massively marketed to a casual audience anyway, seems not one governing body or official listens to the opinion of true boxing fans,as the same stuff that damage the sport keep happening Tbh I've not focussed much on the whole hardcore/casual thing in years, everyone has the right to watch and talk about something even if they Are whatless and it is annoying, and let's have it right if boxings PPV numbers were left solely to the hardcore fan base it would flop
I'm not fussed either maybe it's because it'll be on PPV with a shite undercard or maybe it's because of everything that's happening in the real world for me has put nonsense like professional sports into perspective. True, with the way boxing is run it needs casuals to stay afloat however if the sport was run like an actual professional sport with a unified governing body there'd be a lot more non casual fans.
Too right Without casual fans, boxing sinks and fighters get paid less The snobbish attitude is a bit silly on our part as the more ardent fans
