How should I put this. Wilder doesn't agree with what Wilder said. He is GOADING Tyson Fury. Wilder and Fury signed for a third fight. Fury is trying to get out of it. Wilder is trying to GOAD him. If Fury says someone is a bum and, you, for example, say "Do you think Fury is going off the deep end again because he just called so-and-so a bum? And I saw the three homes that boxer owns, and he clearly isn't a bum. He is actually a very wealthy man." And I reply, "Fury was just goading his opponent. He didn't mean he was poor. He was just getting under his skin. He's goading him. And you reply, "You never answered my question. Do you think Tyson Fury has gone crazy again because he thinks so-and-so is a bum? Because so-and-so isn't a bum because he has three big homes and I've seen them." How am I supposed to respond other than NO, he doesn't believe he is an actual bum? He knows he has money. It was an insult. Wilder knows it wasn't an ACTUAL knockout. As I said before, he is goading Fury. Get it now? Or are you going to keep pretending you don't get it?
Right, I find people calling it delusional on this board hypocritical though considering my original statement that fans inventing their own results for past fights is common place. Not calling you out personally
Ask him why meldrick taylor didn't get the same post knockdown 10 seconds "are you sure your ok" treatment against jcc when he rose to his feet with 3 seconds left to fight
You respond very easily. You either say you agree with him, or you say you don't. Do you class Fury as his greatest ko victory?
What don't you get? Wilder doesn't class it as his greatest KO victory. He is goading Fury. I feel like I'm in an episode of South Park and I'm trying to explain the Fish Sticks joke to you. Is this actually Kanye West I'm talking to? (LOL) This content is protected
So what I don't get is, you first come on to the thread listing lots of fights that you believe did not receive the same level of benefit as Fury, which can be perceived as a defence of the statement. You then have decided you know what Wilder is thinking and that he doesn't mean what he says. That he is goading Fury. I like Wilder, I've paid for a good few of his fights now and apart from his title winning effort, I've been entertained every single time I've watched him fight. But a lot of what he has said since losing to Fury is delusional, this is the latest example.
Just been through a few recent knockdowns. Time to hit canvas to time ref says continue : Campbell - Garcia : first knockdown 12-13 seconds on Garcia.. Where was your energy here? What makes 12 seconds significantly different to 20 seconds? Cite studies Loma-Linares- Loma took 15 seconds to from drop to canvas to ref continuing fight AJ-Klitschko - AJ took 17 seconds AJ - Pulev - Pulev took 13 seconds (3rd round) AJ-Ruiz - Ruiz was given 14 seconds in round 3.. Again where's that energy? Wilder Fury 2 - Wilder was given for 15 seconds from the 3rd KD.. Wheres that energy? It seems like you are highlighting this specific case of Fury Wilder 1 because of some inherent bias and therefore I ask, why did ref not stop Wilder against Ortiz 1 when Wilder took a sustained beating for 45 seconds. A lot of refs would have called the fight. And why was Wilder given an extra 20 seconds in between rounds?
Long count? Only a blind Wilder fan would say so. Here is a link. Fury hit deck. Ref tells Wilder to go to corner. He leans over Fury and starts count. Fury jumps up before 10 count. In boxing it is a 10 count. Not a 10 second run of. Text book 10 count to me. This content is protected
1. I don't believe boxers should get 20 seconds to recover from a knockdown. Period. 2. Too many boxers to mention have said they won a fight when it was a draw. Wilder is no different. Hell, Fury says he won the first Wilder fight every chance he gets. 3. Wilder saying he really won their first fight by knockout and it was the best knockout of his career is smack talk to goad Fury. Fury getting the extra time is why the smack talk works. Everyone knows he got extra time. If Fury didn't get extra time to recover, saying it was a knockout wouldn't work. That's all. I'm not the one playing psychiatrist and starting threads about how "delusional" boxers are. Like all boxers who do this, he's goading Fury. He wants to fight him again. Fury is trying to get out of it. Saying knocking out Fury was his best KO is goading Fury. That's all. Why does everything get blown out of proportion? Christ. I think I liked boxing a lot more before Social media. If Mike Tyson said he wanted to make Ruddock kiss him with those big lips on Social media today, I can't imagine the threads we'd get. Back then, we just laughed and waited for the fight.
Yet they gave Wilder 20 seconds vs Ortiz without even a knock down should Wilder of been stopped since he was given that time?
So you're not the one playing psychiatrist, you're just the one who's deciding Wilder doesn't really mean what he says he's trying to goad Fury. Ok (LOL).
