It would be hilarious if Povetkin starches him again.

Of course he's dangerous. But if he loses, he doesn't need an excuse. He's 40 years old.

If he wins yes he should get credit, he got ko'd by Povetkin, no fancy excuses were offered postfight, no blaming anyone else or his ring walk attire etc, says he had lapse of concentration and he should not have got caught like that.

He gets opportunity to avenge defeat, i think he can do so, but i know Povetkin will think he himself can win too.

Two heavyweights, no big time trash talk, dealing with their business in the squared circle, that sounds mighty good to me.

What I'm saying is.... if Whyte avenges the defeat after the way he lost first time around then give the man his credit.

I don't want to hear any "Covid" excuses.

If he won the first fight I wouldn't have given him much credit, he was suppose to win, that's why Eddie brought Povetkin over, to get Whyte a "name" and keep him ticking over.

But if he wins the rematch after getting completely sparked in the first one, well you have to give him some credit.

There are hurdles to overcome for Whyte in this fight and the pressure on him is now immense.

So yes, if Whyte wins give the man some credit, I'm not saying we should go OTT, just tip ya hat and move on.

If he does lose then Eddie will cut him loose before he reaches the dressing room.

Yeah, you won't. You'll hear how he was forty and it'll be an excellent example of the difference between an excuse and a reason.

As for the credit thing, I've already said that he'll deserve credit. Just not very much.

Of course not. Who in the world would credit a guy who was brutally KO’d with a one punch, highlight reel shot, for immediately rematching the guy who did that to him?

I think Sasha starches him again so, in the event of a Whyte victory? Absolutely he deserves credit.

No. Pulling a 42 year old out of the hospital for a fight doesn't get credit from me.

Well Fury's easy win against Klitschko imo eclipses Whytes resume. The only reason Ajs resume is better than Fury is because Aj also beat Klitschko and fought quite a bit of world class opponents. But after Aj and Fury, Whyte has the best resume of course.

Obviously I loved the sarcasm here.
I don't think Dillian deserves much credit if Pov hadn't been badly hit w/the flu. But early 40s AND trying to bounce back from wuh flu? You've got to be kidding.

People are trying to hype Whyte or Pov awful bad in here.
Look I'd like to see the two DWs get it on as much as anybody here, but let's not make much of Dillian getting by Pov.

No. I give all the credit in the world for his great run, but beating a smaller, post-40 guy coming off of Covid who already beat you would not be a great win.

And I am saying that picking Povetkin. It is just really a no-win thing, and he ought to move on.
