Lets say the Charles of the Louis fight against the Fury of the second Wilder fight
    Who wins this matchup?

Fury on points. Ezzard would struggle with the size and awkwardness.

Being much faster than Fury, having a higher ring IQ, better timing, and better precision. Charles was just a better fighter all around. If they were the same size it would be Charles winning beyond a shadow of a doubt. That leads me to analyze whether or not Fury’s size is enough to bridge the skill gap and imo it isn’t.

    A 6ft 185 pound Charles with 73" reach vs Fury at 6'9" 273 pound with 85" reach.

As good as Charles was, i cannot see that he can beat Fury with the size differential.

this, 90 odd percent of the time... much Bigger guys 'usually' beat smaller guys, simple.

S-HW's cannot be put on the same even terrain as 'much smaller' traditional HW's ...

... but 'if' you could bring Fury down to the 6' 2 - 5" inch range ALL Top HWs blow him out!

Fury unanimous. Better chin, size advantages. Wouldn't be pretty to watch but Charles as cracking good as he is, finds the gypsy giant to much to overcome.

Fury would knock Ezzard Charles out. He's awful for Ezzard Charles. But the fact that there's a weight differential of sixty pounds odd should be the major clue.

Was it Moore who postulated that breaking Charles's rhythm was everything? Finding ways to get him out of his work-schedule, out of his groove was the way to beat him. I can't remember. But it make sense to me. Properly deployed, Charle seems irresistable. And Moore himself only broke his rhythm once in three tries and got KTFO anyway.

Fury has a huge reach advantage and is quick. Charles would be resetting over and over again trying to ditch that huge jab. Inside he'd be manhandled with ease and Fury's height probably takes that deadly uppercut out of the question even in close. Fury's physical advantages are colossal and he probably has the style advantage too. Charles being very very very very good won't be enough to close these gaps. I like Fury by referee's stoppage or corner's stoppage.

Well thank you for the newbie comment, i oh so wish i was, if not in experience then definitely i want to be in age.

If you think a very light cruiserweight beats a behemoth like Fury, who in this bout would have a 88 pound weight advantage, plus the 9 inch height and 12 inch reach advantage then so be it, that is your opinion but i cannot agree.

Let's be realistic and not too carried away. Ezzard Charles, as great of a fighter as he is, is far too small for someone that has the awkwardness and skills of Tyson Fury. Fury beats Charles by decision or late stoppage.
