Maidana has been announcing and then canceling comebacks since 2017. He isn't interested in or passionate about boxing anymore, hasn't been since between Mayweather I & II - but he does like the sound of money. Then he gets in camp, and says "oof, this is hard" and bottles it. Rinse & repeat.
i dont think he has much interested in money, he is well off enough to have a luxury life for him and his extended family. his money was invested as soon as he had his first fights abroad in germany and now he owns lot of agricultural land and some properties, even a boutique hotel. the only reason he has to get back in the ring is out of passion or wanting the spotlight once again, but i dont think he¨ll ever get in decent shape again.
I understand. I don't doubt the fight would do huge numbers. What I doubt is Mayweathering taking on any real challenge at this point in his life. I'd like to be wrong by the way.
I seen a prime Maidana get his ass best by a shot, former obese Erik Morales. I’d comfortably have Oscar the winner, especially since it looks like he’s cleaned up and training recently. His left hook is still deadly as ever.
