did I say that? There is a huge gulf between minor and fatal...would you call this a fatal injury?

I think he's referring to the fact that "fatal" means life-ending... which clearly didn't happen.

I'm not saying you did. But Williams could very well of died. What would you call that?

a very serious life threatening injury...but not fatal. It could have been, but was not...

my apologies to @Richard M Murrieta for derailing this thread on a trivial matter

They are about the same level, but Quarry holds the stylistic advantage and better proven.

I just don't think Big Cat will be able to put enough pressure on to get Quarry uncomfortable and he certainly won't be able to outbox him.

    Quarry UD.

No problem my friend, but I had to restrain myself from giving you the date and all the details relating to the operation, as another talented poster eluded to. Ha Ha, Lol.

Deceptively intriguing fight. On paper Quarry looks to both better and worse at the same time. I think overall Quarry was much the better fighter and would take advantage of Williams' wide swinging punches from left field with plenty of counterpunching.

    Quarry TKO

In the Liston fights, Williams really winds up his left hook to get maximum leverage on it, and every time he does, his right glove goes down around his right hip.
Quarry's best punch, as I recall, was a short, very potent, counter left hook.

Watching film, he does seem to get maximum leverage on his hook but it's not true that "every time" he throws it his right glove goes down.

Quarry should win but it’s a tremendously dangerous fight for him, wouldn’t lay down any wager on the outcome,

Who has Quarry beaten better than Williams?
