perhaps, but he is the biggest pay day, the largest exposure, and the biggest stage beve is likely to share...so im not feeling the timing thing.

Sure, but that doesn't mean one needs to drops everything they are doing to start negotiating with someone when it's not a guarantee. Of course, all that does depend on what Beterbiev had and where he was with what he was doing. HOWEVER, we know Canelo gave Kov a very short training camp before they fought in 11/2019. NOTHING on the internet (from my searching) came up with anything close to an offer to Beterbiev. There was word from Beterbiev's trainer saying they don't believe canelo would entertain a fight at all. BOTH guys fought in May of 2019, same day. Beterbiev went on to unify titles against Gvozdyk in October. Canelo then fought shot Kov in November. I'm going to call BS on this supposed offer.

To me, it's just a bad faith negotiation, all for show. Reminds me of when Ward said he offered 3G a fight when he was a few weeks from fighting David Lemieux, and then returned as a Lt HW.

Well B,I'm not twitterite so wouldn't have noticed this"offer", if true it must have
been in the softest of Whispers & never repeated , which for potentially blockbuster fight is odd to say the least .
Plus if as I would imagine young burger boy was still under desperado Oscar then if this had any foundation whatsoever I am positive that ODH would have bouncing around the various Youtubers getting the feel for it....
    Lance, excellent post!

anythings possible, but at this point ive not seen or heard anything that would require me to look for alternate explanations for whats in front of me. im sure if its not true, beves camp will have something to say, then ill question whats in front of me.

Both fights were great. Tommy got robbed in the 2nd fight but what a great fight it was. Tommy waited 8 years to get redemption dropping Leonard twice. Getting a decision over Leonard back then was like winning a decision over Canelo now days. It never happend until Norris mopped the floor with an old Leonard.

Doubtful. There’s LHWs and cruisers who could probably stop him. Hell if Kovalev from a few years back was able to tee hooks and right hands off his chin I don’t think he’d stand up to it for too long. Weight classes exist for a reason.

GGG ain't going to stick his chin out there and say , hit me with your best shot over and over again, he will use his defense and he will hit back as well.

Actually in my opinion he beat Canelo twice so that looks pretty good on his resume to me and most others, people dont forget what really happend no matter how many times you say otherwise.

I dont think tommy would have stopped him but you never know. But could Tommy take the shots of GGG when they start to land, and they would.

Nothing stopping Clenelo from hanging round at 175 and unifying after he cherrypicked that shot drunk with a faulty gas tank whose power and punch resistance had greatly diminished. For starters, Bivol has been calling for the fight for a long time and is on record saying he would take it for a lot less than others are asking for and Beterbiev would obviously have jumped at the chance to face Clen after he unified against Gvozdyk had they offered the fight to him when he was actually free to fight. But instead, exactly as I told you all he would do, he dropped that belt like it was molten lead and hightailed back down to a graveyard division.
