Never one to try and revel in the downfall or loss of a fighter but Kelly’s demeanour in the ring, very arrogant and p**s taking. Made me want to see him get flattened.

 

The show pony got taken to the paddock and got found out.

 

Delighted Kelly lost,

Hate his style, he thinks he's naseem Hamed only he hasn't a dose of power to go with his brashness.

He looked huge in there though, does he boil himself down to make that weight? Perhaps a jump up in weight might improve his gas tank??

Apparently we're not allowed to suggest that this may be the case.

I can't stand Kelly and it makes it all the better that his trainer is that prat Booth.

 

Surely we get Kelly vs Benn now.

I feel like Benn would have a better gas tank but he’s never been pressured like that before. But I’ve never been impressed with Kelly, I’ve steadily seen more from Benn....

 

it's his style .. not really arrogant.

 

I'm happy Avanesyan won. Kelly is too cocky in the ring and one of his team (an Asian man, I don't know his name) is even more annoying. Shouting out like a 12year old "brap brap" "brup brup" during the week.

 

Some quality towel throws on show tonight. None of the Ingle waving the towel nonsense in the Brook-Golovkin fight. Just direct pin point accuracy to immediately get the ref’s attention. That throw from Booth was exquisite, a pionereeing shot put action.

 

I think they could have gave Kelly a little bit more of a chance there. I know he was very tired but he was winning handily and maybe a 1 minute break would have gave him a decent chance to recoup energy. How long was left in the round?

Either way it should be good if he fights Benn. Aven looks up for it!!

 

Such a composed performance from Avanesyian. Didn't look phased by Kelly's early success., gradually wore him down and pounced when the time was right. Tough fighter, I like him.

 

Benn would stand no chance against Kelly.
