I've been following the man a long time yet I've never seen his hands look as remotely slow and uncoordinated as I did lastnite. Not trying to make excuses just something I picked up on right away. Did anyone else notice?
Well, he was fighting a guy who probably had better movement than anyone hes fought, so that may have played into it.
I have no idea... But one thing to bear in mind, the Canelo/Reynoso camp are very very ****ing dodgy so I wouldn't be surprised if any funny business was going on
Funny joke... But i would genuinenly not be surpised given they managed to fool millions into believing Canelo Kovalev wasn't an actual fixed fight
It's ironic that you said that because Berchelt said that he was going to give Valdez a poison for which there is no cure. Presumably he was talking about his pressure and power.
I mean, Valdez was smaller and quicker. Berchelt struggled to make 130, then ballooned up 16 lbs on fight night. He got hurt early on and comparatively Valdez was much quicker.
I had it all wrong—-Was confident Valdez was going to get KTFO but it went the complete opposite way... Great job Valdez #RESPECT
I joked that hopefully Valdez learned to box, cos otherwise this was going to be a massacre. Well, Valdez didn´t change much at all, except he was always mindful of his defense. He pre-emptively moved his head and rolled with possible return fire. But it was a massacre alright.
Laugh all you like mate, you are being fooled and don't even realise it. I think even if there were evidence Kovalev admitting the fight was fixed you'd still trash it as a " conspiracy theory". There's an endless list of things in that fight that are highly indicative of it being a fix.
Now there is no evidence to say oh this is a fix (of course they wouldn't allow this to get out in the first place) but just simply watching the fight itself, it looks completely fixed. When has Kovalev ever thrown jabs like that, and when the target is clearly open to be tagged (no it isn't because Canelos a super duper ultra fantastic counter puncher). I can't remember Kovalev landing or even throwing a jab with any intent on it at all. Literally pawing, tapping.. there was nothing at all. Kovalev has never done this. Kovalev also threw no right hands with intent or any other form of punch with intent. Kovalev has fought far harder and bigger counter punchers like Ward and Eleider Alvarez. Yarde, despite his clear lack of ring IQ, has quite sharp counters and he is far harder hitter than Canelo (this isn't debateable). Kovalev threw no punches with intent, showed absolute minimal hesitation to get out of position for counters (which clearly displays in the fight before against Yarde) , and showed barely any lateral movement. He looked very bored and almost content in there. In my opinion this cannot at all be explained by Kovalevs short camp. Which this in itself is weird af that Kovalev even accepted. His performance is in direct contrast to his two fights previous against Eleider and Yarde where he displayed his normal attributes. Not only this, but when the hell does the loser get a fight deal?? Ridiculous
