I'm worried about him too. I can't see how his life wouldn't be at least negatively compromised as a result of this.

I sincerely doubt that. I don't rate Colbert as a particularly devastating puncher, and I believe Valdez could make that fight very uncomfortable for him.

The fight could have been stopped in the 4th.. In the UK it probably would have been.

Strange too how the docs just left him laying there until he woke up on his own accord. Josh Kelly received oxygen seconds after the towel came in by Booth.

A good fight but there's no need for a guy to take so many clean shots to the head like that over and over

Exactly, man. I had many an exchange with Berchelt fans in here who insisted that Loma fled to lightweight, a division where bigger more powerful punchers (and arguably better athletes) reside, to avoid a showdown with Miguel.

As I said then, Loma mops the floor with any version of Berchelt at 130.

Probably the biggest compliment Canelo has ever received on this site tbh.

Yup, Berchelt may have been a bit over confident, and Valdez came to silence his critics.

Berchelt would have wrecked Lomachenko worse than Orlando Salido did.

Now you know why he carefully ducked loma. Bet belt was exposed. That was brutal.

Yep, that’s why he ducked him? Bet belt was exposed last night. It’s no wonder he took great pains to avoid Loma. He’s no dummy and would have gotten a beating sooner. At least he made a few bucks withstood couple fights before being exposed. He’s a C level fighter. You Loma haters propped him up because you were grasping at straws. Typical.

Lmao!! I think it's the other way around.

It was Loma whi swerved Berchelt.

Just because Valdez had the perfect style to beat a dehydrated Berchelt doesn't mean Loma can.

If I remember correctly an old, near shot, battle worn Salido beat Loma's ass... Berchelt is actually much better than Salido.

They weren't even genuine Berchelt fans, just a couple of simple minded nationalistic nuthuggers who hadn't even heard about him until he was mentioned as a possible Lomachenko opponent.

Right, he ducked him to face bigger and tougher guys? Loma would have destroyed Berchelt. Too slow and plodding. He looked good against other slow guys but was very basic. Always managed to have a fight scheduled right before any Loma fight was available. Berchelt showed his colors last night. Tough guy who could take punishment. No head movement. Slow and predictable. You jerkoffs keep milking the Salido fight. He should have been DQd after the tenth low blow. Lucky for you your cowardly hero had the sense to hide from Loma and turn down big money offers. Salido was a cheating punk who couldn’t even make weight to fight a guy in his second pro fight. Cowardly scumbag who got arrested for stealing beer. Isn’t beer cheap in Mexico? A fitting end to a cowardly Scumbag. It’s no wonder you guys like him.

After the Salido disaster, Loma was like "No mas" agressive Mexican style.

I can't blame them for swerving Berchelt because Loma lost to an older, less disciplined, tired version of Berchelt with Salido.

Styles make fights, everyone in boxing knows this, and I feel Loma's team preferred another route over facing a better version of Salido.

Lomachenko will probably come to 130lbs and embarrass the guy who just annihilated berchelt.

The fact is that they both left their last opponents in the same condition.
