Who has Martin beat? Takam's best win is a 43 year old Tony Thompson who was on the cusp of retirement, looking for a few final paydays. I reckon Wallin will comfortably surpass both of them. Take has to be one of the most overrated boxers going.
I meant less than Fury, but yes, if I had time and inclination, I could find posts where guys sang the praises of guys who did less than Schwartz. Lots of people have a favorite tough gatekeeper. Fair play to you. The grammer was unclear.
Cause he beat a heavy bag like Breazeale. Please. He’s not proven himself at all yet. If he’s any half good he should look to fight guys like Pulev and Rivas and if he beats either of them decisively I’ll change my mind.
****ing hell I'm losing IQ points reading everyone's comments here. Wallin is **** and Breazeale is beyond ****. Fury still has a **** resume.. Embarassing guys hyping boxers (Fury) up who continue to fraud us with 99% shite fights... Literally equivalent to turkeys voting for Christmas.. Dumb mother ****ers
Breazzelle is useless but he can expose flaws in guys with his size and aggression. Wallin took care of him comfortably. Id say Wallin is a handy boxer with decent skill and could cause an upset to anybody not ranked in the top 5
Breazale is not good at all. Incredibly slow. Wallin has solid fundamentals, good size and is a lefty. He probably will have to earn a top fight and take some dangerous risk bouts. He beat Kauffman, Breazale and had a good showing on Fury. He's decent. He needs a top 10 level guy to face next. Or someone like a Chisora or Helenius
He did much better against Fury in one attempt than The Tuscaloser did in two in his own backyard Breazeale is weak sauce but Wallin took him to slick school and is clearly a skilled boxer (and in case anyone hasn't noticed skill is a rare commodity in this HW landscape), and a big strong guy with a good chin and footwork whose skills, boxing ability, movement and toughness will cause problems for a lot of HWs. You could tell by Fury's body language early in their fight that it dawned on him that he was better than he was anticipating. How well he'll do against the top boys I don't know but in his only venture up to that level against the best HW now in most people's eyes he did very well indeed and he ticked a number of boxes in that fight. 'Otto Wallin (20-0, 13 KOs), WBA and IBF #5 contender, says he is ready to challenge Anthony Joshua for the heavyweight title on June 1st in Madison Square Garden. The undefeated Swedish heavyweight is confident he will follow in the footsteps of countryman Ingemar Johansson. Exactly 60 years ago in June of 1959, Johansson took New York by storm when he knocked out Floyd Patterson to take the heavyweight title back to Sweden. Wallin, 28, is in peak condition, having just fought last Saturday night on Showtime. That fight ended in a No Decision after the 1st round due to a cut above his opponent’s eye. Otto is ready to return to the ring immediately. “I feel great and am ready to go,” said Wallin. “I would love for it to be against Anthony Joshua.” “Ottomatic” has a history with Joshua. They fought twice in the amateurs and then sparred 200 rounds as Joshua prepared for his title-winning fight against Charles Martin. “Some of Joshua’s people told me not to unpack my bags because I wouldn’t be staying long,” explained Wallin. He answered their doubts with his fists and spent seven weeks in camp as Joshua’s chief sparring partner. “AJ came to learn that I’m nobody’s sparring partner,” Wallin said. “I think he felt that we would one day meet again – not in a spar but a fight. “I gave him problems. We were a real test for each other. But Anthony has character and I believe he welcomes a challenge. “AJ, tell Eddie Hearn that Ottomatic is the guy you want facing you on June 1, not Michael Hunter.” No final decision has been made regarding Joshua’s next opponent but Wallin stands ready to play the spoiler. ''And one man who knows more about the Swede is Joshua himself, with the duo having fought twice in the amateurs. Wallin lost to Joshua on two separate occasions before joining the paid ranks, with their final fight in 2010 proving to be significant. Fury claimed his second win over Wallin at the International Amateur Boxing Tournament via a points decision and joined the GB squad shortly after. But the 28-year-old clearly made an impression on Joshua, who drafted the southpaw in as a sparring partner before his IBF world heavyweight title fight in 2016.''

He ain't getting Joshua any time soon. A Scandinavian showdown with Helenius, or another declining contender like Washington would be a realistic next step.
