Broner actually looked really good in the Pac fight despite his poor effort. Three times he threw, he threw with venom and speed. That version would have killed the no namer he fought last night. Alas, Pac ended Broner. Pac badly hurt Broner with some mean left hands, which caused Broner to go into survival mode — running and clinching and staring at the clock. And Pac also had Broner folded over from my an insane body shot that would have put many others down. This was the toughness of Broner. Broner a shell now.
outlanded 207-98 says it all.. Broner is a joke and by age 36-38 he will still be fighting but as a name for upcoming prospects to make there resume lookgood... the guy is a total clown.
Theres no way Broner won that. That kid was robbed. He was not going to be allowed to win that was obvious. Mercante needs to retire along with Broner nowhere near the ref his Dad was
No, he wasn't. He hurt Mikey big time in the last round and then he went to war with Vargas. If nothing else, Broner had blazing fast hand speed, very good power, and chin. In the Pac fight, Broner showed great hand speed, a chin, and durability. Broner looked slow and shots bothered him last night. Pac ended him.
Are you done spraying the gaffer with spunk? When he fought Pacquiao he got his ass handed to him, for sure. But he was widely viewed as old before then, when he drew with Vargas, Vargas being nothing special. And the Garcia fight, where his success can be summed up in the words: very little, was two years before Pacquiao. After Pacquiao, he spent two years out of the game, where he almost went to prison, was trying to shag minors and clearly wasn't dedicated to boxing. Broner's best performance was nine years ago. If you think that didn't have anything to do with how poor that Broner looked.
was Broner ever good? His title wins were against the weakest belt holders of the division he was fighting in. His career has been very average to mediocre against top competition.
Yeah once Maidana broke his ego he fought afraid of getting embarrassed. He tries to do this late-career mayweather thing where he thinks he can just counterpunch and throw eye catching shots and win. but mayweather was way better at shutting his opponent's offense down and moving around the ring. I think AB lost his drive to be his best long before Pac. I think he was lucky to get the draw against Vargas. He hasn't convincingly beaten an opponent in almost 5 years (in a fight he didn't make weight).
