Hm, Well I think the obvious pick is Louis if you stood in front of him looking for a firefight he threw bullets accurate, powerful, fast and life changing on impact the last place Fraizer would want to be is in the ring with Louis second only to Foreman in my eyes. Fraizer would bull rush himself into an early possibly career ending stoppage (RD3TKO) he had too much heart for his own good and Louis was a cold clock work machine designed to throw punches not unlike Foreman he would keep dropping bombs for as long as Fraizer had legs to stand on and with his eras judges it may be fatal.

Now for an odd pick, Walcott because I like his chances against anyone on the right nigh. haha

Off of this particular listing Fury is the only one who I can see beating Frazier. Perhaps Holmes as well. Frazier beats the rest of them

For everyone asking: Ali was in his twenties and coming off two wins over top five contenders. Some of his best wins ever were years later, and a fight which is arguably his best performance came a year later, in the Quarry rematch.

Ali might have been a little quicker in the sixties, and he might have been a little sharper. But was it by a lot? No. He might have still had some ring rust, but he'd shaken a lot of it off, as you can see by watching him in the fight. There's a distinct difference between being at your very best, and being in your prime.

Ali was prime. Given that he'd accomplish more after Frazier than he did before, added to the fact that the decline between Ali vs Folley, and vs Frazier, is marginal at best, and that Ali was 28 - it's quite easy to argue.

Ali may have been a little better in the sixties. Doesn't matter, though. Frazier beats that verison as well.

Fury and Prime Ali. Fury would be absolutely massive compared to anybody Fraizer has ever fought and he is also far superior in strength and could hold Fraizer like he did against 240+ Chisora. Fraizer clearly has the power to hurt Fury but i see it being a boring fight with Fury just dominating Fraizer in the clinches everytime Fraizer gets on the inside As for Prime Ali.. well its prime Ali. I rekon Ali would win a VERY hard fought UD

It’s funny ...the 71 version of Muhammad Ali coming off a 3 year layoff is considered prime Ali ....but the 73 version of Joe Frazier who got knocked out by George Foreman isn’t prime Frazier ...... they’re starting to do the same **** they do with Leonard and Duran

Louis had that uppercut from hell and that was Joe’s kryptonite as we saw in the Foreman fight... Louis would have patiently waited for him to bob right into it and he threw it so fast that Frazier wouldn’t have seen it coming.

Very true. If Ali was in his prime, then so was Frazier.

Of the Technical Boxers on the list, I have to go with Ali, to have the BEST chance. Some of the others have a chance, but not to the degree that Ali does. IMO, there are a few Boxer-Puncher Hybrids on the list. I eliminated those from consideration.

Ali was not prime for their first fight. Even Yank Durham said that Ali had slowed considerably. Prime Ali UD’s Frazier.

Frazier-Fury is an interesting one. Does Fury have the tools to stop Frazier? He can't keep away from him without giving him something to really think about.

:) Love Ali and don't think he was in his prime against Frazier, but he does probably get overrated in the hypotheticals around here.

Man, I'd love me some Frazier-Louis. What a fight for as long as it would last. Don't see him as a boxer, though, even if he certainly was technical.

No Fury doesn't have the power to keep him at bay but honestly i think it would go similar to the 2nd Chisora vs Fury fight. Chisora continously pressured Fury but everytime Chisora got on the inside to land shots to the body or head, Fury clinched, let him go, jabbed chisoras face off and then clinched again when Chisora closed the distance. Frazier is a hell of a lot better than Chisora but Frazier is also a lot smaller and likely nowhere near as strong so I'd just see Fury dominating the clinches with ease. But frazier has the power to put him down of course

Of the more pure boxer types, I'd give Ali, Holmes and Fury the best chance. Haven't voted, though, since this a damned hypothetical, still a bit fun to try and break down some of these matchups.

Frazier had a hell of a defence, probably the most underrated fighter of all in that sense, so the question is if Fury would land. I mean, Joe would probably find it fairly easy to get under Fury's straight punches and his uppercut isn't all that.
