This should be an easy nights work for Whyte. Povetkin was already shot to pieces....now he's post Covid just to top it off. I really wish he'd just pulled out of the rematch and left Whyte to stew on getting chinned but he obviously still thinks he can do a number on Whyte.

Are they holding this in a television studio in Gibraltar? Or outdoors?

St Michaels Cave would be a great venue for a crowdless boxing match. Just for the uniqueness of it if they are in Gib. It could be a little dark maybe but with proper lighting could really do something memorable. It's a shame Povetkin has been a victim of Covid as he's a world level fighter and you have to ask how much it has taken from him at his age.

    Looking forward to this card.

Povetkin vs Whyte - 50/50 between 2 top 5 HWs.

Cheeseman vs Metcalf - another close competitive fight.

Kongo vs McKinson - a good competitive fight.

Wardely vs Molina - A step up progression fight for a very good HW prospect.

Riakphore vs TBC - opponent has been sorted just needs to be made public. Riakphore was sparring with AJ last week.

    Hattons son makes his debut.

Realistically, the only competitive fights on that card is Cheeseman v Metcalf and Kongo v McKinson.

Whyte should beat a very old, shot, post covid Povetkin. Riakphore is an absolute eyesore of a fighter that's hugged his way to his last few wins with generous judging. Molina isn't interested at all in being competitive. Just picking up an easy paycheck to get stopped in a handful of rounds. I strongly believe the main event has 2 non top 5 heavyweights.

It's a dreadful card but the main event is interesting.

Povetkin has been on the decline since his Duhaupas win. However Povetkin certianly proved he is still a dangerous and a top HW with his wins against Whyte and Hughie. Although thought Povetkin lost the fight to Hunter 8 rounds to 4, he made it a tough competitive fight for Hunter. Certainky no given that Whyte wins considering this and that Koed in the last fight.

I thought Riakphore deservedly won his previous fights but granted certianly not the most entertaining fights although I do rate him.

Yeah the always a chance Pov might pull out that bingo shot again but it's very unlikely imo.
Thought Riakphore really struggled against Massey and Billam-Smith. Against Hyde he was losing that fight big time until Hyde had to quit with that awful injury.

As a Saturday night's boxing on Sky, it's good, even very good if being generous.

As a stand alone PPV it can't be denied this is shocking and would be amongst the worst in recent memory.

The main attraction is a pointless re-match with fighter who is a plodding, uninspiring slugger, never won a world title or looked convincing in anything he has done, vs a 41 year old well past his sell by date- who knocked him out cold last time.

There's no title at stake, nothing really at stake at all come to think of it. Neither of these two are fighting for a world title any time soon mandatory or not.

The bit that's really outrageous though, is for a PPV what comes before the main event- it's just a few domestic fights, your usual standard British level fight which we see all the time PPV or not. If there was another 1-2 world title fights, perhaps lower down the weights, or a European title fight maybe some case could be made for this being worthy.

Don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to Cheeseman vs Metcalf, that is a 50-50, but to be honest it's the ONLY fight on this card I am excited about and really looking forward to.

This one really is a hard sell...

whats shocking is the amount of mugs that actually pay
