Evander, especially, shows such respect for Foreman during these interviews, his brother "in Christ" it almost seems like it's some other sport, but George is respectful too, "i'm sure he'd have something up his sleeve for the rematch too". Worth a look, two great legends, the fight was great - better than I remembered it though, and with a beautiful left-haned display from Holyfield - and the type of kindness we don't really see postfight these days. Worth if for Holyfield's low-key review of the fight, too. Interviews start at around 1:10. This content is protected
That was a good interview. Two real gentleman. That was a great fight, it can't be underrated. It's one of the best young man vs. old man fights there ever was.
Underrated fight- Classy event, gentleman fighters the pair of them. George really proved a lot that night. People forget how close that fight was and how worn Evander was in the last rounds clinching for dear life as the equally fatigued Foreman kept trying to take his head off in a final rally for the belt.
Holyfield still ranks Foreman as the strongest and hardest hitter he faced. He’s almost in awe of his strength. A great fight for the sport.
Thanks for posting that, OP. It's been a while since I've watched the actual fight. Two of my all time favourite fighters. That's the first time I've seen the interview though. I can only repeat the thoughts of others here in that both fighters showed class and respect to each other.
