There's no quality sparring here in the UK. Most trainers are just fitness trainers. Watch Kell Brook's interview after the Crawford loss, he summed it up perfectly. The UK is behind the times.

Ben Davison and Shane McGuigan are the newer generation and have new ideas and are making big impressions but the older guys are just stale and take their fighters nowhere.

Joe Gallagher immediately springs to mind. Those dumb scouser Smith brothers have some type of loyalty to him for whatever reason but at world level they've ALL failed.

The very fact that Golovkin completely changed his style to a safety first approach to fight Canelo tells that he was feeling Canelo's punches.

Hahaha Serge you are a very funny man. I think you have a bright future in comedy. But I think you are using comedy to hide a deep pain about what Canelo did to your idols GGG and Kovalev. It must be fun for you to fantasize about what could have happened between Kovalev and Canelo if what happened didn't.

But in this world, what happened was Canelo put Kovalev's lights out and Kovy folded like an accordion in the 11th round. I'm sorry if that pains you, but it was a specatcular KO one of Canelo's best. Yes Kovalev was winning some rounds but only because Canelo let him with low activity. Canelo was just setting Kovy up the whole time to be sparked out.

People forget that prime Kovalev went undefeated KO'ing everyone until he decisioned Ward. An absolute superb boxer who was never going to have a long shelf life due to lifestyle and growing up starving.

Kovalev easily. Probably gives him the same treatment he gave Cleverly. Even the shot to bits alcohol dependant Kovalev right now would give him a 50/50.

It would be a good fight to make at this time. Who would you favor if Smith moved up to 175 to fight Kovalev later this year?

What is more likely - Kovalev by decision, Smith by KO or Kovalev by KO? It's hard to imagine Smith being stopped, he proved he has a hell of a chin. But Kovalev is clearly chinny at this point, could Smith bring power up from 168 and land a fight ending shot on Kovalev? I feel like Kovalev would probably be able to outbox Smith at this point and decision him as Kovalev's level of boxing fundamentals seems to be well ahead of Smith's, and with Kovalev fighting at his natural weight.

Kovalev points or Smith stoppage. Kovalev doesn’t seem to sit on his shots anymore but can still box well behind the jab and throw very good offensive and well timed one two’s.

Kovalev was a monster in his prime. I don't see Callum Smith being able to hang with him. Kovalev by KO.
