I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees it this way. Marciano's slow, crude, sloppy, out of left field punches would play right into Quarry's counterpunching hands. Easy pickings. Then again Marciano has shown fights at a pace Quarry's proven to be uncomfortable with. 55-45 Quarry though I go back and forth on this a lot.
I see 55-45 maybe 60-40 for Marciano in the odds, but I'd still favour Quarry to win. Could go either way tbh.
How does Hatton, who Luis Collazo knocked down at 147, deal with Hearns? Hatton would pay a hell of a price to reach Hearns’s most vulnerable area (inside).
I agree with most of these. Hopkins’s prefight mind games would write a check his @55 couldn’t cash with Hagler. I also believe Hagler would immediately retaliate to any dirty tactics from Hopkins. Given both fighters’ supreme stubbornness, I could see a DQ. I could also see a Hopkins headbutt causing a cut on Hagler that leads to a no contest.
Prime Tyson was on another planet to Ike. Holmes ws far better than Bryd and had too much reach with his jab.
