It would be quite funny to see him get sparked yet again in his attempt at breaking the Foreman record. I do believe that he will come back to attempt the feat.

He'd better hope to get a Charles Martin knock over job that Anthony Joshua was so lucky to have.

Send the chump over to the Alabama gym. Deontay has a score to settle with that old fool.

    Top 20?

    He'd still be top 5

Fury says he's fighting twice in 21 whether he agrees with Matchroom and Joshua or not. Well, he still owes Wlad his rematch.

I was thinking the same thing!

Thinking about it though the fight at Wembley was 5 years ago now so impossible to know if he has anything left to offer

Depending on how much he has deteriorated. If Wlad is anywhere near the standard he was against AJ then he will be top 5 easily.

Man I have a bad feeling about this. I dunno whether he should be fighting in his forties.

He could become WBC interim world champion (Povetkin), WBA interim world champion (Bryan), WBA gold world champion (Helenius) or WBA regular linear franchise world champion (Charr).

If he lost to Fury and Joshua as a younger man, why would he think that stepping away from the sport and aging several more years would somehow improve his chances against those same opponents?

Nowhere does it say he is coming back.

I also don’t want to see him make a comeback. He would come up short against the best HWs and I doubt he could complete a camp with the intensity required to be competitive at the highest level.

He’s not coming back. Wlad is a gym rat, he simply won’t allow himself to fall out of shape. If he was really serious about breaking Foreman’s record he would’ve retired for a few years after the Fury loss to let his body rest and then make a comeback fighting 5-10 times vs journeymen to get his timing back.
