What's up with DAZN in Australia? It has a link to Avesneyan v Kelly but it's not the fight? What fights will actually be on it?
Yeah that was a bit weird. As it turned out it was on Fox sports which I still have a few weeks of subscription left. The canelo fight is definitely on it.
You say he would’ve KO’d Browne convincingly... when are you referring to? 2010ish when Meehan had approx 40 bouts under his belt to Browne’s 2 or 3? If so, yeah I agree. But Meehan fought Walker in 2012 and Walker fought Browne in 2013 and Lucas’ progression for a domestic Heavyweight in those years in between was exceptional. International wins, a faded James Toney, blasting Towers on Sky Sports and of course Walker. In fact if you’re running by common opponents it probably strengthens the case for Browne. Off the top of my head he got rid of Col Wilson quicker than Meehan, and of course he beat Chagaev and Walker, both of whom Meehan lost to convincingly. For someone who took up boxing at aged 30, and zero amateur bouts, he’s done pretty well. It’s a shame he didn’t start in his teens.
DAZN carried the fight in the States while Fox Sports have an agreement with Matchroom here I believe.
That's the guy who fought Clinton Woods a couple of times if I remember correctly WAR , Woods was another under estimated fighter .
Fantastic news for George. That will set he and his family up. And if he can somehow spring the upset, even better.
Fox has seemed to be showing more matchroom the last year or so but this is gonna end up quite confusing when navigating dazn!
Everyone chuffed for Bika tomorrow? (er, later on today for you lot, rather; still Thursday evening here in the US) That even being aired domestically?
This content is protected Wild. I had to Google what a "blue book" is, I don't think anywhere outside Australia has that? (an authorization to compete, basically?)
* Liam Wilson like Spark and Goodman is struggling to find opponents and he has a verbal agreement to face Francis Chua who won his bout Fri night by MD on the Gallen vs Browne undercard. * Terry Nickolas who scored impressive ko on Jarvis Canberra undercard is facing Victor Nagbe on Sat 17 April. Hoping this like previous Wild Fighter Promotions its streamed live on Facebook.
