There`s strong evidence that AJ is a bigger name in the UK than Fury is, but Fury is bigger in America, so which fighter is the A-side if therse two finally fight each other? This content is protected
Fury is the undefeated lineal champion. The defacto number 1. Plastic belts hold no value. AJ got bowled over & runs around shouting that's he's the "two time" like it's an achievement when it's not. LOL. They should let AJ have all the A-side benefits, name first on poster, 2nd ring walk. Put extra pressure on him make him wilt faster. Neither will get the traditional A-side benefits, it will be split up...and some of the benefits might even cost them $$$. AJ will probably get more benefits because he has to pay more commission fees whilst holding them plastic garbage belts. Will be part of negotiations.
No one knows who AJ is the US. He's just that ''Brit dosser who got KTFO by a fat guy'' The same goes for The Tuscaloser over there too but he's known as that ''dosser who got KTFO by Tyson Fury'' Fury is a superstar over in the US. In fact, he's the face of US boxing This content is protected He's huge across the border too This content is protected
Joshua is a crossover star, only pacquiao and canelo hold that distinction. he is the obvious A-side against any other HW
Realistically speaking it should be Aj but at this point i dont care. Let Fury be the A side. Makes it all the better if Aj wins
Difference is Mr. Crossdressing star will be sucked into a black hole and be no more after he gets in the ring with Fury. Nobody can do that to Canelo or Pacquiao.
who cares what happens after, right now Joshua is the obvious A-side. He could select Lagos, Nigeria as the venue of the fight and fury would have to accept it or Joshua could simply fight X contender and fill the O2 arena anyways.
AJ has been a bigger draw in the UK but this is partly due to him being with Hearn and the fact that he has actively pursued that kind of following Fury is a bit more old school and hasn't had that media push behind him. Also, being a gypsy he's never going to get the same love from the racist media. In this fight though Fury is the A side, both in terms of being the better fighter and by being a bigger global draw (sure to his US success)
No Fury`s fights in the UK haven`t done good box-office, only his fights with Wilder in the US have done as well as AJ`s biggest fights, his fight with Wlad didn`t come close to AJ`s best PPV numbers.
he isnt but he is a superstar in the UK, the only boxer to hold that status there, and since the only possible venues are England or the middle east he is the obvious A-side.
He didn`t even come third in BBC sports personality of the year when he beat Wlad, most people inthe UK haven`t seen him box because PPV numbers are so much smaller than viewing figures boxing matches got on free TV during the 80`s, Benn vEubank thev rematch drew 15 million viewers, AJ hasn`t come close to that.
