I’d say yes and no. There are those posters out there, no doubt, but I can also see wanting to see a guy move up to see good fights. I can only speak for myself, but I’d much rather see a guy move up and take a challemge, than stay at a weight were no challenges exist. Same goes for staying at a weight. If the challenges are where he is, stay there. I’d rather not see a guy move up just for the sake of grabbing a belt or for multiweight shine. But I understand as a business, and guys are looking to grow brands and make money, so they do what’s best for themselves in that regard.
If a champ moves up in weight, there are fans who complain he didn't unify his division. If he wins a title at a higher weight and moves back down to unify, they complain he moved up and fought the wrong guy and complain the guy he moved back down to unify against isn't a big challenge. If he doesn't move up at all, they say he's afraid to. If he moves up four divisions but not five, he's afraid. And if someone unified all the belts, moved up again and unified all the belts, someone would complain he waited to move up until so-and-so was gone. Some people just like to complain. Nothing is good enough.
Lance: I'm a ****ing loser talking about other posters, pretending they said things they really didn't say.
Like you who insisted 3G face Ward for his first fight at 168 all the while allowing your faves to face lesser comp upon moving up.
You continue to stalk me and lie about what I said. I said I had no problems with ggg taking a tune up fight at 168 first before fighting ward that is only fair.
Stalk!?!?! You're posting on a message board for ALL TO REPLY TO dumass You never said that effin liar.... Go spread some COVID at a concert or something ...
I think he is just saying he’s smart enough. and small enough , to not roll the dice at 175 again bro. What is the reward for him at 175? Jesus it took him forever to become a full MW if you remember but then again he was fighting old dusted out cheeseburger Jr above MW when he was crying he’s not a MW. Either way he is smart enough to avoid real “RISK” at this stage in his career
Seems like the truth to me? Its so obvious he doesnt belong there. People want him to fight Artur just to see him outmatched at a weight he shouldnt be at.
I did say that you stupid son of a *****. I said I had no problems with him taking a tune up at 168 as long as he agreed to fight ward. I know wtf I said put me back on ignore liar.
Let's see if Beterbiev has the balls to move up to HW like Canelo has moved from 154 to 160 to 168 and has fought once at 175.
