Buster Douglas is arguably one of the biggest underachievers in boxing

 

I honestly think he could've been an ATG, had he given a rat's ass. That being said, his big victory was a train wreck waiting to happen. But it's hardly Douglas's fault, that his opponent surrounded himself with leeches and yes men, and content to bang japanese hookers instead of you know, training to defend his championship but I digress.

 

Douglas had almost every ingredient to be an ATG but the one of the most important ones he didnt have (or didnt have consistently). Ive said this in past comments, but Douglas is like that guy people know at work that is naturally gifted at their job and could be at the top of their career field, but just dont have the passion for it and its just a 9-5 for them.
