    Terrible fight all round...

Given all the **** that Fa and his team came with I expected a fight. He hugged all night long and every time Parker tried to throw a combination he would spoil.

Horrible refereeing - points for the over use of the clinch?

C+ performance from Parker. He got drawn into City gyms game plan and essentially started off where the 4 previous fights finished.

Fa - I never want to watch again. After the Gunn fight I was hoping he would come to redeem himself.

Both great guys, but I feel for the families that paid $50 nzd for that.

Terrible fight, shows how shallow the heavyweight division is.

Even if the judge was the biggest Parker fan, I found it hard to score 9 rounds for him.

Yet Parker should arguably be undefeated. He did more than enough to get a draw against AJ, and he should have won the Whyte match.

No. Chisora won 4 rounds max if you're being generous. He deserved 3. Chisoras fight style is completely different to Parkers and it was the initial constant forward pressure Chisora won those rounds. Parker doesn't fight like that aka coming forward without care for defense and throwing punches all over the place. And also Chisora wasn't actually landing many punches, a lot were scuffed punches taken on gloves, elbows and shoulders.

Bear in mind Usyks first real test at HW was after being out the ring 1 year and having only 6 rounds at HW over 2 years coming into the Chisora fight. Not a fair comparison whatsoever.

I don’t necessarily take too much away from Parker for this tbh he’s shown this flaw before fighting the same style in cojanu, when you’re fighting someone that doesn’t want to really engage or box and literally walks at you and grabs you without throwing a single shot at times it’s difficult to look good. I remember he fought Cojanu who employed the exact same strategy and Parker couldn’t figure it out either. So I guess I didn’t have high expectations once I saw Fa’s plan

At this point, I've grown tired of Parker's borefests and I have no issue scoring his matches close, I had the Fury, Ruiz and Takam matches razor close as well. Fa just didn't do close to enough in most rounds, 9 is perfectly feasible.

Parker hasnt improved in 5 years... I think it is too late for him now to learn new things but he refused to change his team.

When Okolie moves to HW if him and Fa fight I fear both will have to retire through entanglement

The AJ Parker fight should have been NC.. Minimal landed punches no one deserved to win.

In the whyte fight, Whyte was given a 10-8 based on a clear head clash knockdown. Parker was winning that round and if it were scored 10-9 to Parker he would have had a draw. Believe Higgins appealed that decision, yet nothing was done about it despite it being clear it was a head clash.

I guess the counter to that is, could you see more than 3 rounds for Fa?

IB and I are both far better judges than you, I had it to Parker by a point, IB had it a draw, but leaned Parker. The fight was razor close, and both Parker and AJ landed next to nothing of note. The rounds were damn impossible to split.
