Sadly, you may be right, CST

But I'll live in hope just a little longer.

Reading through some of the last pages of this thread. Seems like people are a lot more optimistic about Parker here than on the British forum.

I'm inclined to agree with those who say he isn't that good. He really isn't. When did he show any kind of good level against anyone on the world stage, over the course of at least most of a bout, and not a round here and there?

He didn't look any better out there today than he did against Cojanu the sparring partner. He might be rusty from a year off, fair enough, but i have yet to see much from him. "Paint Dry Parker" by Jurgen is a perfect nickname.

Safin - I am a big Parker fan - and I think Fa did a great "smothering" job on him last night. The ref allowed it.

But like you, I am getting tired of the excuses.

Needs to show us what he's got. And fast.

I hear you. Haven't seen the fight but have no reason not to believe you. Some historical perspective.

About a week ago watched the 60s Terrell-Chuvalo bout. Both weighed about the same, but Terrell was nearly 6'6", a very tall HW for that era. Most rounds were close copies of each other. Chuvalo was moving forward working the body and trying to land something upstairs. Terrel jabbed and grabbed his way to a UD. Ali called Terrel the octopus after the fight  Speaking of Ali, by the 70s he became a master clincher/grabber himself. After one of the Ali-Norton bouts (probably #2 or #3) Norton said - Ali has a new style, holding.
Not defending it, however it's nothing all that new in boxing.

I actually think Parker will do better v a Chisora who will come to him and JP fast hands can find openings. He just doesn't seem to have an idea when he is the hunter- can't set traps etc
    examples Conjanu and Hughie

Parker has been such a huge disappointment for the last 5 years. I know fans are holding out hope but he is what he is. A guy with talent but lack drive and motivations.

I don't know what else to say.

Me personally - I'm grateful he won but I was completely let down by Joes inability. The thing is, I knew he didn't have anything else other than the jab jab cross so when it became apparent that Fa knew how to deal with that, it was pretty much a points decision fight from there because Joe had nothing else other than the 112.

It's extremely hard to keep supporting Joe when he isn't willing to try out new trainers.

    I don't think so tbh
I think Joe wins with ease
Could be underwhelming or could be a whooping with a massive KO

    Chisora isn't on Joes level
