Saunder's power is bang on average. His KO percentage is right at fifty percent. That's the definition of average.

Yes but walking that 50% line typically means you do stop guys who either have fair defense and glass chins (with less certainty as you move toward merely substandard and then just plain average chins) and that you probably stop guys with garbage defense and chins anywhere below "above-average". I'd say Yildy falls in that latter category.

If he beat one of them, I might be turned around on him. Respect that all time great move. As it is, in my eyes, he's lost every important fight of his career.

He viciously 30-27'ed his man until Yildy shat a brick and bottled it on his stool. It speaks more to a bad ticker on Yildy than Canelo being a bad man. (although he did look sharp for three rounds, admittedly)

Nah, I think he's a good guy, with a shitload of pride and honor, which is why life gets to him so much. He's intense, feels emotions deeply, and turns to the bottle to help him cope. The loss to Ward devastated him, as did killing Simakov. Which is why he's spiraled so badly since the second Ward loss. Granted, maybe I'm reading too much into it, because he's an Aries, but there is a pattern with us. We'd rather be beaten to death than takea knee, so selling out and taking a dive isn't even an option. See Wlad, Margarito, Gatti, Arguello, Guerrero, Pavlik, Jirov, Gvozdyk, Segura who put themselves through career altering beatings to get a W. Hell, even Forrest tonight, also an Aries. Most would have packed it in, not him, he came back to dominate the rest of the match. But, maybe I'm nuts and a I sound like a kook, but yeah... we are that stubborn. Kovalev and Golovkin are no different.

he takes 5 rds off bjs. and the general narrative here would be, "bjs fights to his opponents level,"

I think Golovkin's the real deal. He didn't crumble under pressure when Canelo robbed him. He kept the eye of the tiger. He didn't quit training and get sloppy. Kovalev is mentally weak with a bully's mentality like Tyson.

Nah bro. Kovalev threw the fight. He forgot to throw his right hand and didn't make much of an effort. He probably didn't know he was going to GKTFO like that and thought it was just going to go to the scorecards and he would lose.

No one will take Yildrim seriously ever again. He can pout and act like a bad man all he wants after this but people will just laugh in his face.

Yeah, I agree, he has a hard time dealing with setbacks, but he drowns his sorrows because he has a hard time coping with failure, and has wrecked himself physically. Still, I don't think he'd take a dive. Because the long term damage it would do to him mentally, he wouldn't think it was worth it. But yeah, obviously Golovkin is the harder hardman.

I'd much rather be seen as the guy who got robbed, and have a moral victory, than a glass jawed joke who was KO'd by a midget. Kovalev probably feels the same.
