I just got an email from DAZN asking me if I missed Canelo vs Yildrim. I didn't watch it but feel confident I didn't miss a thing.
I feel the same way I saw him come out to dance edm music during his ring walk i said to my boy he was ready to hit the nightclubs on south beach after the fight and was just happy to be there.
shutup, if thats the case then why did he give away his belt to avoid fighting ggg. truth is canelo is a scammer same way floyd was. i dont take any of his fight seriious anymore because i know there will be some crap going on behind the scenes that casuals will never know about like steroid use, weight drains, paid off judges and fighters, short training camps etc. ill stick to watching the less publicized fights.
only reason hes doing it is because its such weak division right now, hes using the benavidez excuse of not wanting to fight mexicans becuse he knows it gonna be a tough fight.
You could say that. But then again, is it Canelo´s fault that Benavidez has lost his belt twice? Let´s see if Alvarez can unify the division and then lets see about Benavidez and where he is at. Don´t forget that Alvarez doesn´t really duck anyone. He avoided Golovkin for a while but ended up fighting him twice. Few expected Alvarez to fight Lara, Trout, Golovkin and BJS. Hell, quite a few people were adamant that Alvarez was scared of Jacobs.
Your failing to grasp the contract constraints that led to Kovalev and Smith having short camps is not my concern. I'm breaking it down for you so you understand. As it stands, you're ignoring the facts and you continue to live in la la land as it relates to Canelo.
What part of Yildirim being a mandatory challenger do you not understand? This is basic stuff, you claim a mandatory challenger that was a condition of unifying with Smith is somehow a "cherry pick". It's mental how clueless you are.
There's no facts about it mate. You do all the mental gymnastics in the world.. "Contract constraints" are not the reason Canelo gave them short camps,.. That's some fabrication youve created in your own world full of delusions
Clueless? It's embarassing you're even attempting to take any high ground with your naivety. What don't you understand about Yildrim not deserving a spot in the top 20 rankings let alone the mandatory position? Coming off a loss then having two years out of the ring? That's deserving of a mandatory position.. Clear as day collusion between WBC and Canelo's team... Hmm.. Missing a few brain cells it seems
LOL please read, get yourself up to speed so you don't continue making a mockery of yourself : https://www.ringtv.com/613005-canel...to-part-ways-with-golden-boy-promotions-dazn/ Specifically this part : With Alvarez anxious to return to the ring, and willing to fight without spectators and the millions in ticket money that would go with it because of the pandemic, he, Golden Boy and DAZN tried to work out his next fight. But DAZN was unwilling to approve a Saunders fight or one with Ring super middleweight champion Callum Smith for $35 million. DAZN, which was supposed to pay a license fee of $40 million to Golden Boy with $35 million of it going to Alvarez, would only do the fight if Alvarez took a dramatic cut in pay, according to multiple sources. This is precisely in line with what I said which you call "mental gymnastics". Get real.
If there was collusion between the WBC and Canelo's team, they wouldn't have made him fight Yildirim. I agree that Yildirim wasn't deserving of his mandatory position, however he was mandatory prior to Canelo becoming Champ. Though some have argued Yildirim deserved to win his last fight vs Dirrell. Yildirim, perhaps due to his last performance, which in a losing effort did get a split decision in which one judge had him winning wide, became mandatory for Benavidez who lost the title on the scales. I'm not justifying the WBC's decision to make Yildirim the mandatory, but him being mandatory had zero to do with Canelo as he was Benavidez's mandatory. But the WBC Title become vacant and with Benavidez out of the picture, Canelo vs Smith were the logical match to fight for the vacant title as they were already set to unifiy the WBA (Regular and Full) Title. But as a condition to make Canelo vs Smith a unification, they agreed that the winner would have to fight Yildirim within 90 days. All your crying won't change that.
Can I ask wtf this experience did for Yldrim fighting a guy with 2.5x more fights than him and maybe 20x the skill? He just stood there and got his ass beat. Yldrim landed maybe what, 9 jabs and 2 right hands in all 3 rounds? How the hell did his trainers, let alone the sanctioning bodies, think he was ready for a title shot?
Yildirim's performance was extremely bad, especially when he was known for coming out guns blazing. Most through at the very least there would be some fireworks early that he would come at Canelo trying to land a big shot. Instead Yildirim was super cautious which at first seemed like an OK strategy like he wanted to prevent what happened against Eubank but then he started getting hit and slowed down to a point where he wasn't even competitive.
The same Canelo who ignored his mandatory Charlo at 160 and literally dropped a belt when negotiating with Golovlin. The same Canelo who goes up and down in weight like a yo yo every year. We're suposed to trust that guy to pursue undisputed?
