Manager: Cus D’amato. Man was crazy but knew how to navigate the boxing world and steer his fighters safely. Cautious Cus also cared for his fighters, often sleeping along side them in the bus back when hotels had no coloreds allowed policies. I won’t say he’s the best but he’d be my choice.
Dunno man...other than cus d'amato, i would say Oscar de la hoya with his Golden Boy Promotions.....Don King was once regarded by everyone as the best manager ever
Keith Connolly has done wonders for Danny Jacobs and Sergiy Derevyanchenko. He’s negotiated for Danny to make more than $35 million in his career and Sergiy at least $10 million. Neither guy has a big win but has made way more money than even elite guys. He also has Edgar Berlanga. As a fighter if you want a guy to negotiate great contracts regardless of networks/factions during these times, Connolly is a guy you should look at.
There is also Al Weill who was respected by everybody because he was the manager of the undefeated rocky marciano.....atleast until rocky had discovered he was stealing from him
Connolly was great at what he do. He leveraged being Canelo’s IBF mandatory and GGG needing a top 5 opponents to negotiate that amount of money. DAZN was spending the money and again Connolly being able to work around the politics secured the best financial deal for his fighter. He did a similar thing between Charlo and Canelo in September also, to my knowledge PBC had to secure a package to get him at least $3 million to fight Charlo.
