    HEAR ME OUT...

    1. Canelo reminds me of Pac in that in moving up in weight, while at a size disadvantage he makes up for it with Speed/explosion/power/skill. These 168s/175s are just way too slow for him.

    2. Beterbiev has a weak chin man. Hes been dropped by much lesser opponents then Canelo

    3. Styles. Beterbiev is a come forward, slow plodding pressure boxer. Canelo EATs those guys up.

    4. Style wise reminds me of Pac vs Margo. The P4P best against a much bigger, more powerful, dangerous fighter, but also the less skilled and much slower boxer.

Dont act like Canelo wont fight him as they already reached out to Team Beterbiev, hes going to unify 168 this year and go for 175 next year. Beterbiev is on Canelos HIT LIST

He’s 36. Like OP, I thought about this too and tbh I believe Canelo will fight if Beterbiev still have those belts closer to the end of 2022 he’ll be 37 going on 38. Don’t forget that Beterbiev is a huge LHW already considering a move to Cruiser so Canelo will handicap him with a rehydration clause and in those conditions Beterbiev will lose. He’ll be a walking punching bag after rd 4.

easy fight for canelo, doubters will be shocked

it took beterbiev 12 rounds to knock kolling out and 10 rounds to knock gvozdyk out so I give him no more than 1% chance of knocking canelo out (elite level defense and cheen), and he sure as hell ain't outboxing the p4p king

Yeah I think canelo beats Beterbiev as well he's too slow for canelo. Bivol on the other hand well thats a different story.

I don't know about Canelo being able to take Beterbiev but I think that if he can unify 168 after that he'll need some more challenges.

One thing I'm noticing with Canelo moving up it seems other guys are feeling the itch. Jacobs to 168. Munguia to 160 ect. Maybe after unifying he might want to take on a guy like GGG or Andrade at 168.

I guess he doesn't have to go to 175 if he can get everyone to meet him at 168 where its a minor weight cut for him compared to 160.

Canelo couldn't beat GGG given two attempts. He will NEVER fight a prime Beterbiev.

I believe Canelo could win another title at 175 but do any of you think he could have long term staying power at that weight? Some of those mandatories at 175 I think would be a big challenge on a regular basis.

Stay at 168. Wax a few easy mandatories and force other boxing names to met you at 168 if they want a payday.

Beterbiev already was the IBF champ with it´s 10lb rehydration rule. Didn´t seem to affect him then.

As a younger fighter but now he’s been inactive for 2 years on top of getting older. On top of that Beterbiev has been mentioning the move to cruiserweight lately which is enough for me to know that the weight cut to 175 is not the easiest. Ripe for the pickin..

The dude is a ****ing tank. Makes sense that he would struggle a bit.
But, I am fine with the 10lb hydration clause.
By the time Alvarez ever makes it back up to 175, Beterbiev will have aged quite a bit.
