    Yes.

Murray would have taken his beating like a man.

I'm a fan of Billy Joe and he has skills to burn but he's not winning this fight. I hope I'm proven wrong but to beat a talent like Canelo first and foremost you need to be active at the top level and he hasn't been.

Secondly, since the move up to 168 he hasn't been as impressive albeit I do think he's a fighter that performs when he can "get up" for a fight and he does need the fear factor in order to perform.

Thirdly whilst Billy has decent pop in his shots he's not a banger and to beat Canelo overseas you'll need a knockout to get a draw.

Finally I do see Billy Joe going the 12 rounds and giving Canelo things to think about but he's jumping up in levels here. People are reading too much into the Mayweather fight which was ****ing years ago Canelo was a young kid and is a different beast from that fight.

If Billy was going into this on the back of 2 big wins (e.g. an Andrade, Jacobs, Smith) then I'd be a little more optimistic but unfortunately that's not the case. Best of luck to him.

    114-114 wasn't horrendous IMO.

I don't see why a 23 year old Canelo would get any special treatment against Mayweather. Just dodgy scoring rather than corruption for me.

I can't believe this is true. He fought at LH v Adamu when he had a year our off the Andrade fiasco and it was just to get him back into the swing of things. Absolutely, no way he is a natural super middle weight. I always thought he should have been 154 and probably moving up now. He doesn't look like he has the frame at all for 168, obviously the eye test can be deceiving. But he has made 160 for years despite admitting slacking in the gym. Fighters can go way too far in terms of boiling down but that never struck me as being the case for BJS at 160.

Give over lad. 114-114 Is beyond a joke.

Maybe you could put it down as dodgy scoring in isolation but when you look at his career it all adds up. I can't believe you are even arguing the point.

BJS has bags of talent.. but never had the discipline. Remember some of his old interviews in Marbella he would admit as much. Always wants to take the 'easy' route.

If you follow him on instagram you see he eats some garbage. Heard people say he's 'skinny fat' or just bad genetics which is why he doesn't look as chiselled as others. Nonsense really. In the year or two with Dom Ingle he actually started to get whipped into shape. Clearly didn't like it which is why he went back with Davison.

His talent has always compensated for his relative lack of hard work.. it won't against Canelo. Not even close.

For a fighter who started his career at 160lbs as a young man and moved up age 29 to 168lbs that seems sensible to me. There is nothing to suggest he could magically make 154 with a bit of 'exercise and salad' or indeed he even want to, If he is comfortable fighting at 160lbs (he won a world title ffs) who are you or anybody else to say he should be fighting at 154. He has always struggled with weight issues, that's why he got busted for oxilofrine.

I'm not saying he should be at 154 now. I'm suggesting he could have made 154 earlier in his career and then moved up to 160 as his body grew in size. I don't for one second believe he is a natural SM as you suggest. At best he might be in between weights. But given the condition we have seen him in between fights and by his own admission he has not always trained hard for some of his bigger fights, let alone the lower level bouts, I think its fair to say that he probably hasn't given himself every chance of fighting at the perfect weight. I'm pretty sure most boxers will tell you that if you balloon between fights it gets harder to make the weight. He's probably been forced to move up because of this or even just prefers SM because it's an easy life. He'll look tiny vs the big SM.

Yeah I think he is just trying to argue for arguments sake. 114-114 was laughable. 116-112 was still far too close.

I'm looking forward to hearing the excuses once Canelo beats BJS.

Not the biggest fan of either fighters. I hope Canelo wins and GGG beats Plant setting up the Trilogy Undisputed fight.

    I know  it's crazy.

BJS gave us a meme moment, when he looked in to the crowd when Lemieux missed with a wild punch, it was fantastic, very funny also.

That's about it, even way back, he struggled with Eubank Jr once Jr actually started fighting.

Struggled with fighters he shouldn't have struggled with, was dragged the distance by a shot to pieces Martin Murray and you're right, the excuse or reason is "he fights at his opponents level".

I don't think he has Canelos level in him, not at his age. You can't just switch form/talent on and off, it really doesn't work like that.

Canelo is a very different proposition than anybody he has ever faced, Canelo is a vastly different fighter now than he was 5 years ago, he has improved on many things.

I haven't seen BJS do anything of real note since that meme and I really don't think this fight is that competitive and once Canelo sees BJS off it will move straight away to Benavidez and Canelo will get very little credit for beating BJS.

Scored it 115-113 Golovkin personally. Just my opinion.

You could choose a whole load of boxers and pick a few scorecards from their 50+ fights and make the same point.

Saunders doesn't have a single advantage over Canelo that I can think of.

When you also factor in the super expensive and top quality juice Canelo will be on plus the 3 blind judges I'd say BJS has no chance not that he should be getting this career high payday anyway after his recent comments regarding Barry McGuigan's daughter.
