This iteration of Canelo seems tuned to beat guys like BJS and Plant. The LHW punchers people talk about who could just wail away and do damage even if they aren't landing cleanly would be a problem for him right now. Win or lose those fights would take a lot more out of him and shorten his career.
Johnson is slowly becomiong one of these forum legends who'd have beaten everyone if he had only gotten the chance.
Also, it speaks volumes to Canelo, much like it did to Floyd, that people have to hypothetically match him up against guys way bigger than him to conceive of him losing.
Canelo stops him Callum has big power and is a strong talented fighter but you can't be inactive and then jump in with a special fighter like Canelo expecting to win. Good news that's he's now signed with Warren so should be getting fights but at 35 could be too little too late.
In Callum's own mind too..... The thing is he DID get a chance and got stopped brutally by a man who was going backwards.
Why do people think Canelo stops him? What evidence is there to suggest that? Callum's much stronger. His head was through the ropes like he was waiting on the guillotine and Artur smashed him. He got up and knocked Artur down. He's a tough *******. Canelo's not stopping him
Canelo stops him easy. Here's why: Callum Johnson starts the fight on the backfoot for some reason then throws nothing but light jabs the whole fight being scared of Canelo's super quick awesome counters. He just can't seem to catch Canelo with his insane never seen before head movement. Round 8 they throw the towel in after Canelo for 8 rounds straight has consistently landed hooks to Callum's gloves and elbows.
Every opponent has some kind of condition (age, being shot, tailor made etc.) .. Yet it is never Canelo's fault for consistently choosing suspect opponents...good one
I dont have an idol Current favourite boxer is Tyson Fury If you mean him then your even more stupid that i thought lol
The gap in skills is wide. Canelo wins but its a physical too demanding matchup. IMO that's why he is staying away from 175, it can shorten his career considerably. Imagine Canelo having to oppose Beterbiev? The man is a beast. You just have to look at Canelo in there to realize he does not even belong at 168.
