He will be back just like Khabib. Chimaev will be fine in a couple of months, no need to act like a baby and cry on social media to get sympathy. It seems to me that a lot of these fighters turn into DIVA's when they hit/or get close to hitting the big time. I'm sick of all these DIVA's and wish they would just fight or GTFO.
No, he has covid bad, there`s a time of covid called long covid that you can have for months, this has taken a lot out of his body, some people react to this virus far worse than others, he was bringing up blood.
As I said he will be back when he is recovered. No need for him to act like a baby/DIVA saying he is now retired. We all know he will fight again so why post BS on twitter.
Yeah this **** aint no joke i thought this may be a possible outcome after seeing that **** he posted the other day coughing up blood. I posted a thread in the boxing forum last week which i mentioned the lingering effects some boxers and other top athletes who had got sick with covid and there was still people with there heads in the sand about how bad this is and not just for the elderly. I expect we will here a lot more fighters/athletes like Chimaev who retire or unable to compete at or near the level they were pre covid

Hope you are right but just last week ,a couple of days before his posts talking about retirement, he had been targeting that exact same time frame to return and as far as im aware nothing has changed in his medical condition. Edit -am talking about returning then not that he will be back
yeah he'll fight in the UFC in June/July, Dana already confirmed he didn't retire at all and some other sources did too, he was just really annoyed that he can't fight row and all the COVID stuff going on ****ing up his plans, guess it was more some emotional stuff....they expect him to fight again in June/July.
