Hagler would beat Canel in a classic, GGG would beat Ray Leonard, Duran would beat Hurd and Hearns would destroy Charlo, he was better in every department to Charlo except maybe chin, but Charlo has never been hit with the kind of power Hearns had and has a very poor defense.

The best GGG beats Ray UD

I don't think Charlo or Hurd belong It either 3-1 or 2-2 for the fab four. Swap out Hurd for Billy Joe Sanders, and its close enough.

Thank you for knowing what your writing about. When I see posters making Hagler into a "search and Destroy "type I realize they know very little about what he was in his prime, and are taking the highlights of the Hearns or Mugabi fights as how he typically fought.
Triple G. Same day weigh-in would be cut in half against prime Hagler. The way he fought is what Hagler looked best against.
And the fab 4 in their primes or close to it go undeafeated against today's champs and top contenders same day weigh-ins.
When fighting for the MIDDLE WEIGHT championship ment a fighter came at Middleweight, not Lt.heavy.

Consider that GGGs kyrptonite may be Hagler? I think his higher pedigree boxing ability more then makes up for GGGs only really notable advantage. Hagler was at his best one of the most skilled cute boxers at MW if you could not outbox him I just do not see how you could win.

So true....hagler was a forensically sharp boxer...his counters were slashing demoralising punches from a long reach.

From the matchups mentioned all the fab 4 win and win comfortably. The closest fight on the cards with same day weigh ins probably Hagler v Canelo. Hagler wins a comfortable 8-4

    Interesting matchups...

    • Prime SRL beats the field at 154 and 160, IMO, too versatile, too savvy
    • Prime Hagler runs the field as well, but the GGG and Canelo fights would be amazing
    • Hearns beats everybody at 154 and 160 if he boxes and seeks openings for the right off the jab... if he tries to slug it out Canelo, G or Charlo could bust him up
    • Duran beats Charlo and Hurd and may win a close decision v. Canelo 1/4 times, but GGG would stop him at 160
    • I don’t rate Charlo or Hurd THAT high, but I think all of those fights would be competitive except SRL whose movement would embarrass them.
    • Best fights would be Duran v. Canelo (two masters of counter and slip) and GGG-Hagler

No I didn`t think Leonard was as convincing at 160 as GGG was, GGG has aged better than Ray did.

I don`t think Leonard looked better at 154 than Canelo,he got caught by a lot of shots by Kalule and Geraldo, then went on years later to be dominated by Norris at 154 when he ws years past it, I don`t think that`s a good resume by itself.

Ray got the nod against Hagler in a very close and highly disputed decision. And Hagler at that time is far better than GGG.

Hagler wasn`t far better than GGG in 1987 and Leonard gassed early in that bout due to all his running, it wasn`t an elite performance.

    Leonard beats GGG easily
    Hearns wins.
    Duran wins.
Hagler might set too fast of a pace for Canelo but I lean towards Canelo slightly.
