I guess you can quit after your opponent fouls now and win the fight. Even if he legit couldn't continue, I don't remember a rule to go to the cards.

Nah...That last shot to the back of the head was pretty bad, and didn't look particularly unintentional. Plus, it was preceded by numerous "love taps" to the same area. Madiyev could easily have been DQ'd.

The full team are at fault here there should have been at least one person there saying stop being soft and get back out there not a word from any of them

Eh... I disagree. But yeah, it doesn't take a massive shot to hurt someone. At best he might have been a little buzzed and it probably wasn't a terrible idea to stop the fight. Although I do think he was milking it a little. But if he's worse off, then I'll eat my words, and it's probably better to be safe than sorry.

It’s the same as an accidental clash of heads if he can’t continue it goes to the cards

Dudes in hazmat suits spraying the ring in between fights, is that NBC's influence? Nothing like going overboard!

Neither of us wants to see another P. Colon incident.

Anyway, I'll give Zorilla the benefit of the doubt, since he was having a decent 8th imo before that last shot to the back of the head connected and hadn't really milked too many of the other half dozen or so shots to that same area. And repeated fouls do have a tendency to take effect after a while, no matter how soft they appear.

Rematch might be in order, given the way the fight was unfolding, though. Like to see them go the full ten and see what happens.

If one fighter can’t continue because of accidental damage I didn’t think it should have been classed as accidental like

    Round 1 Chevalier 10-8

After the debacle in the first fight, Bryan grabs Zambrano's arm, and clubs him to the mat with a clear as day rabbit punch, and the ref rules it a KD. What the ****?
