Atlas is the kind of guy who'll take all the credit for your wins, act up for the cameras in your corner between rounds and throw you under the bus once you start loosing and/or split with him.

That could be the way it goes, although I would suggest that there would be no reason to retire at 34 or 35, if he keeps on going the way he has for the last few years. Paint Dry Parker could just keep plodding away against puddings.

He must have thought the City guys did a good job with Fa.

And I guess they did. But can they prepare Parker for a must-win against Chisora?

They haven't trained any boxing world champions and thats because they're obviously a kickboxing gym who have proven to be good at breeding MMA fighters as well.

I guess anything different from what Barry was teaching would be a change. I do remember watching a video where head coach of CKB Eugene, was speaking very critically of Barry, especially with the David Tua fallout so for Parker to go to CKB now would be like a new widow remarrying the day after the funeral.

Should’ve made the move 5 years ago. The amount he’s regressed since his early prospect days is startling.

City kickboxing aren't bad, they've been on a hot streak with the talent they're producing in boxing, kickboxing and MMA. What a camp they have too.

Don't forget Alexander Volkanovski. That gym has single handedly taken over MMA just by having their guys use feints very well. If any camp will give a good tactical setup for his fights it'd be city kickboxing. I'm yet to see them have one of their top guys have a truly awful gameplan and they're all technically refined fighters.

Some people have been waiting for this for years.

But will it really bring dramatic change?

They are a great Kickboxing and MMA gym, but I don't know how good they are when it comes to boxing. He could do a lot of sparring with Fa and work on his problems against rangier opponents.

He needed to do this year's ago.

I couldn't watch his last fight, turned it off In the first round, couldn't bare it.
About time average Joe tried something, he lost that fire years ago.
soon as he bagged it he's been bang average Joe ever since.

The split from Barry is good, but I don’t know how much he will gain from it if he joins City kick boxing. I mean, someone wrote they are elite, but are they just elite at kick boxing? Because then I don’t see how it will improve him a lot.

A shame if it doesn’t, Parker is still young for a HW and got some good attributes. Good chin, speed and a nice jab. A good trainer who could teach him not to smother his own punches would do wonders for him, as he is already good at closing the distance.
