AJ is far better than Bruno was, all Frank has is a punchers chance, AJ is far better than anybody Bruno beat, Ruiz would have stopped Frank and there`s no way Frank could get on his bike and out-box Ruiz his feet were slower than AJ`s, Wlad would have knocked Frank out, so would Povetkin have.

Frank was nothing but a body builder with a hard punch, AJ is more fluid with a better variety of shots.

So yeah AJ stops Bruno in a fight where he is losing on points...

Joshua brutally stops Bruno in the 8th-10th round.

Bruno had poor stamina and his best win was McCall. Joshua is a step above that level.

Bruno would be right in the fight though for the first 6 rounds. This was the case against the elite guys in his prime.

No way, AJ is far more skilled than Bruno was.

No Lewis was all over the place during that period of his career, his punches were too wide and he looked off balance and sluggish which is why McCall beat him and why he struggled so much v a shot Tucker.

...as in "it would be like the Lewis fight in that AJ would be losing on points to Bruno before getting stopped badly".

Would have to lean towards AJ in this one. Bruno had the capabilities, especially his fantastic jab, but I think his chin would ultimately let him down.

I think saying that all Bruno had was a punchers chance is silly. He was a good boxer, he was just never elite bracket.

On stage in a body building show it could go either way as both could be mistaken for Adonis. In the ring it's a different matter. Joshua uppercuts Bruno to hell, 5 rounds max.

Tyson, Lewis and possibly terrible Tim would have beaten AJ, and for Ruiz I’ll offer Bonecrusher both unexpected defeats at the time.
Bruno was a better boxer, decent chin, and could brawl when needed, on their best nights I’d go with Bruno points. Would Wlad have knocked Bruno out the night he fought AJ ? Well he almost knocked AJ out, Wlad at his best would beat either so it’s a mute point.

I've often thought of this as a interesting matchup.
If we dropped the Bruno from the Lewis fight into the ring with AJ instead of Pulev in his last fight I think it would be an interesting match up.

    Both aged 31.
    Bruno weighed about 238lb.
    AJ weighed in about 240lb
    Similar reach of around 208cm
AJ has the height advantage .

Both of them can gas. Bruno tended to do it gradually over the course of the fight whilst AJ can gas in any given round depending on output but then recovers untill the next spurt.

Both have KO power. I think it's pretty even.

AJ probably wins it but I think it's more competitive than most people think . Bruno has a real chance. He'd have far, far more front foot aggression success than 39 yr old Pulev did...
