just an egotistical narcissist, in love with himself very immature. One of those people that is never wrong about anything!
I think he is very self aware these days and plays up to the publics perception of him Quite amusing tbh
I find froch funny tbh,if at times a little annoying, but mostly funny and loved him as a fighter Horses for courses
Agree with Wizbit1013, I think Froch really overeggs it at times because that's his 'brand', but i've seen him numerous times be a lot more restrained and humble + His recent analysis with George Groves prior to Joshua Ruiz 2 'Talking Tactics' I thought showed him in quite a different light, and was nice to see him and Groves being friendly - IIRC even Groves commented something along the lines that once you get used to his soh, he liked him a lot more This content is protected + Prior to that he was on a session with Calzaghe where they were discussing 'what if' and again, he was a lot more restrained and humble, and for all the needle in the 'public eye' you could tell there was mutual respect and they seemed to like each other. This content is protected Not the best quality on the last one, but he comes across a lot better. He deffo plays to his brand, and tries to keep himself in the spotlight - probably keeps his business interests ticking over.
It's nothing to do with enhancing his brand. He'd enjoy a lot more mobility if he were to become a brown-nosing yes man. To suggest that a retired multi world champion needs to play the cvnt to "keep business interests ticking over" is a real oversight. We're not in 2014.
Ok, linking it to business interests is a stretch, better put that he trolls and plays up to his perception - what his motivations are to do that is just speculation.
Thought his book was a good read too,the trumpet blowing every few pages had me roaring! Some blinders in there haha
I barely listen to the commentary on fights these days as I either ignore it, turn the volume off or, pre lockdown, watch the fight down the pub. Does Froch still know next to nothing about 99% of fighters that he commentates on?
I couldn’t stand the man a while back but he grown on me a bit since making up with groves. He showed he could bury the hatchet which I didn’t believe him capable of. He seemed like the type to hold a grudge but he and George actually came across well during a couple of appearances. It says something that a man that appeared to despise Carl seems to like the guy now. I agree that he probably is very insecure though, he just can’t handle that ward defeat. I don’t get how he doesn’t see how much better he would come across if he just gave Ward some real credit without taking it away immediately afterwards.
